I received a referral last week for a listing that has been languishing on the market since 2009. The caller was a long time Realtor whose parents had passed on leaving her an extra house. She has plenty of success and experience, but not in my market, and the referral came from a good friend who is also a former successful Realtor.
I almost turned it down. The reason? I saw the listing, looked at the pictures, and concluded it was an overpriced, old, small, dark home with no outstanding features, and it was cluttered with possibly the need for some … (2 comments)

I do not appreciate this time of year. It's generally cold and damp, football ends Sunday, I hate pro basketball, baseball hasn't started yet, and business really stinks. Real estate agents for the most part are in a bad mood. They start thinking the worst is yet to come instead of seeking opportunity around the corner. Many stop prospecting because "it doesn't work".
