It's Five O'Clock Somewhere - 12/31/09 10:12 AM
Well, maybe not Five O'clock, but somewhere it's NEW YEARS 2010 already!  Happy New Years to Austrailia, celebrating 2010 for about an three hours now (as of this writing!)
Happy New Years to Bejing who has been celebrating 2010 for about 10 minutes!
Here is a website that I found that will let you ring in the New Year 2010 as many times as you want all day long until it's New Years where you are:

Grrr...Browser worm! - 12/30/09 11:06 AM
I've picked up a browser worm.  One that isn't being identified by my virus software and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this frustration:
I do a google search (or yahoo or any search for that matter) and my results come back.  I pick what I want to go to and my browser redirects to some other page.  Back up and click again, same thing but to a DIFFERENT redirect.  Do that about 4 or 5 times and FINALLY it will go on to the page I'm trying to get to.
It is affecting Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox … (2 comments)

Another issue with SHORT SALE negotiations this time of year - 12/30/09 10:07 AM
SHORT SALES
I help a lot of sellers sell their homes through the short sale concept.  This short sale idea is great in a lot of respects.  The difficulty in conducting a short sale is not!
One particular pet peeve of mine is the lead times on issuing approvals for short sales once we have an offer and HUD in place.  In particular, I am negotiating about 5 short sales right now.
When I say that I am negotiating 5 short sales at the moment, what I really mean to say is that I have legitimate buyers ready to close on … (3 comments)

Lack of creativity leads to bizarre marketing! - 12/16/09 03:11 PM
I'd like to think that I stay on the cutting edge of technology and that also goes for marketing.  One thing that is a staple rule of marketing, regardless of the medium, is that it has to be memorable.  You look at the golden arches of McDonalds,  the Coke logo and color, Nike's swoosh...all memorable icons.
So I was emailed a flyer and it's from a home warranty company that thinks putting eyes and a mouth on a piece of fruit is memorable marketing.   Not since Bananas in Pajamas have I seen FRUIT with faces (well, ok, there was Fruit of … (5 comments)

Send A Gift- Thank You Card To Our Soldiers- Xerox Let's Say Thanks Program - 12/11/09 06:44 AM
Really great program put together by Xerox to get behind our troops!  Send them a card today and drop in to see responses! LOVE IT!
Via Nestor & Katerina Gasset Realtors® Wellington Florida Luxury Homes (International Properties and Investments, Inc.):
Thanks to Xerox sending out a Thank You card to our soldiers is simple, fast and free.    At this time of the year we can take some time out to teach our children about giving thanks and living in gratitude. The best way of course to teach gratitude is by being a good example of being in a thankful state of … (1 comments)

Pet Peeves--the smaller the issue the bigger the aggrivation? - 12/09/09 09:19 AM
Ok, so I admit it.  I'm a little high strung sometimes.  It's part of my DNA I think.  But yesterday afternoon and this morning, I really was thinking about a couple of my pet peeves and wondering why such tiny things affect my blood pressure.
I went to Wal-Mart yesterday...whew, what a madhouse.  I shoulda known it would be crazy but I needed a couple of things, no more than about 5 items.
So I got into the self check out line.  Seemingly the shortest line.  I waited.  And waited. And waited.  It was then I discovered that the woman in … (3 comments)
