sales: Open Houses Create Opportunity - 05/03/09 01:27 AM
I have been making a concerted effort to hold open houses at my listings as often as possible. Recent traffic has been much higher and has provided opportunities to meet new buyers and sellers. Despite all of my marketing efforts on websites, virtual tours, blogging, and networking events, the majority of my leads simply walk through the front door. I am not suggesting that anyone STOP marketing on the web, but rather that "opening the door" to new prospects may be as simple as Opening the Door at your listings.

Many of my fellow loan officers are actually not loan officers anymore. Initially we were advised that as people left the business, there would be more opportunities for those of us that stuck with it. The percentages were in our favor that deals would simply find their way to us. Therein lies the funny thing about advice.
