classes: Things to do in Silverton, Or - Week of July 31-Aug 7, 2012 - 08/01/12 04:08 AM
Homer Davenport Days are here again! This weekend, Silverton celebrates Homer Davenport, an internationally renowned political cartoonist. I have a greater appreciation of the meaning behind this event and the man we celebrate after reading his coming of age memoir, The Country Boy. Highly recommended reading for any Silverton or Willamette Valley resident.
I've always enjoyed this week-end because it becomes a class / family / friend reunion where our townspeople, past and present gather together. And, somehow I've been roped into pushing a Davenport on wheels down Main Street. See you in Silverton!

classes: Top 10 Take-Aways from the Staging Classes held at Ticor Title - 05/01/09 04:05 AM
Understand Staging as a Powerful Marketing Tool

My top 10 favorite take-aways from these sessions...
•1)      Staging is a marketing and packaging tool very specifically catering to real estate home sales.
•2)      Selling the benefits … (4 comments)

classes: Smaller, More Interactive Education Sessions - 04/23/09 05:01 AM
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." ~ Benjamin Franklin
We've shifted our focus for client education to holding some smaller, more intimate classes at Ticor Title in the Mid-Willamette Valley.  We found, from a great deal of feedback from Realtors and lenders that they learn better while engaging in conversation and interacting with the speaker and the other professionals who are attending the classes.  Smaller class sizes allow this to happen and you walk away from the hour you've invested in education with more knowledge that you might have in a class … (2 comments)
