Well after day one being so slow all our hopes were that it was because it was Friday and everyone was working or maybe it was too nice out and everyone was out enjoying the weather so Saturday should be busier than ever. Day two began much like day one. We were set up early and felt almost like opening morning of deer season, there was a air of anticipation knowing the crowds were on their way. Quite often I hear someone looking for an address by street number here in Mecosta County. I have used a system that works in most Counties as soon as you "learn" their patterns. Here in Mecosta our County is 24 miles square. Roads are numbered starting in the South and going North by Miles (One Mile, Two Mile, etc through 23 Mile) and from the East county line going West by 10's (10th Ave, 20th Ave, Etc, through 230th Ave). Taste of Mecosta 2010 Just returned from yet another successful Taste of Mecosta at the Holiday Inn here in Big Rapids, Mi. I think the food industry was well represented this year. Favorites like the Blue Cow Cafe served Sushi while some served decadent deserts. My wife loved the Cheesecake at the Falcon Head table and Ferris Dining Services had several tasty treats. For us the Best of Display would go to Kelly's Catering right here in town. They had an amazing setting of foods that surpassed all.
