I just came back from speaking with a lady who had lost all her energy in selling her home, which had been on the market for a long time. The price did need adjusting, however she was tired and fed up of having her home sitting all winter. A week ago I had the conversation with her regarding furniture, as the rooms did not make sense. I know how hard it is for many of us right now, digging out of the snow and making it out on appointments and into work. I drove on the Interstate this morning and wondered if drivers realize how dangerous the inches of icy snow on top of their cars is. We've all experienced watching this flying off cars in front of us - some of this has turned into icy bombs and I wonder how many windshields have been cracked and worse with this flying off. Anyone got tips on how to clear this off to keep us all safe? (2 comments)

Citizen Times of Asheville recently reported that the handful of residents living at the Settings are happy that the development is alive and well. The Settings is somewhat 'protected' as it is so close to downtown Black Mountain and just 15 minutes drive from Asheville NC. The beautiful club house now has a certificate of occupancy now that the parking area around it is paved. The HOA is holding off on developing the pool until there are more residents there to use it. I remember when I was a kid, I had a Bill Cosby LP and a portable record player that I carried with me everywhere. A flat surface, a few minutes...and Bill Cosby's voice would be heard by everyone within a 50 decibel range. The great thing about Bill Cosby's record was that everyone got the joke, from us kids to the adults to the grandparents. People from all walks of life would stop as they got near Bill's voice and just listen for a few minutes before walking off laughing, continuing on with their day. I'm intrigued by how many agents who are in the top ten in many areas on activerain do not have pictures on their profiles. I'm always thinking there might be a reason why people do things - is there an agent out there without a picture that has a reason? Is it a privacy issue? (4 comments)
