Before & After - Found Pictures - 03/29/08 12:49 PM
I was spending some time this morning updating some listings, going through old pictures and I stumbled on some before pictures of houses that the DH & I have bought and remodeled.  It is interesting to go back and look through these pictures, as I always seem to forget how much work they were…hmmm….some of them were pretty bad :-)
Here are some pictures of the home we are currently living in.  The DH always laughs that the houses we live in are never completely finished until the day we move out.  I love redesigning and reclaiming outdated homes, make them … (8 comments)

GET-GET-GET---OUT-OUT-OUT!!! The horror of the rise and fall. - 03/25/08 02:51 PM
In October 2001, I started selling real estate in Palm Coast, Florida.  In October 2005, I jokingly asked my husband if he would like to take off and travel around the world.  Much to my surprise…he said yes. (Check out blog posts from our trip…coming soon)

Between October 2001 & October of 2005 I had assisted hundreds of people purchase and sell property.  During that time, the DH and I had also dabbled in pre-construction mania, bought and sold vacant land and continued to buy, rehab and manage rental properties.  When I asked my DH if we could go travel around … (0 comments)

Merritt Island REALTORS - Get those listings!!!!! - 03/25/08 09:58 AM
I just made another post“Calling All Merritt Island REALTORS…” regarding an article about the loss of 350 jobs in Merritt Island, Florida.  Looks as if Searay is shutting down one of their local plants in Merritt Island and transferring up to 140 employees to their location  here in Flagler County – Palm Coast, FL.
Now, I feel bad for any community that loses jobs, but I see a huge opportunity for a smart REALTOR in Merritt island to turn this into a positive.  So, I am going to share with you what I would be doing if I lived in that area to make … (4 comments)

Calling All Merritt Island REALTORS - Flagler's SeaRay plant to gain 140 jobs from Merritt Island - 03/25/08 07:47 AM
Looks like a loss in Merritt Island, Florida will be a gain for Palm Coast, Florida.  The following article was put out by the Daytona Beach News Journal on March 20th, 2008.
"Brunswick Corp., parent company of Sea Ray Boats, has announced plans to close one of its Merritt Island facilities and eliminate 350 jobs. About 140 of those jobs could be moved to the company's Flagler County manufacturing facility, said Dan Kubera, Brunswick director of media relations and corporate communications." read full article here
So, Merritt Island REALTORS, put on your detective hats to track these folks down to get their houses listed.  … (3 comments)

"Short Sales" - False Inventory & Fake Prices - 03/19/08 03:56 PM

I have been working for months now on the horrible and I feel very un ethical practices that are going on in Palm Coast/Flagler County with "Short Sales"  Over the next few days and weeks, I will be dedicating most of my blogging time to this issue.
In the meantime and to become more familiar with the thoughts, opinions and abuses of using distressed buyers to further the lining of agents pocketbooks...please read the following blogs on the matter.

Forbes Magazine - Palm Coast, Florida - We are #3 - 03/17/08 08:28 PM
I remember when I first moved to Palm Coast, Florida in the year 2000, the population was around 20,000 people and most of those were retirees.  Much has changed in the last 8 years and it looks like we are posed for some more great changes in the future.
Our population in Palm Coast, Florida has now reached around 70,000 people. Given our incredible location, wonderful weather, plentiful ammenities, close proximity to 20 miles of pristine, unspoiled beaches & 23 miles of saltwater canals that allow homeowners to park their boat behind their homes with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway…it is not a surprise that … (0 comments)

Another day in Paradise - Palm Coast, Florida - 03/16/08 05:45 PM
When you look at the number of foreclosures, hear all the talk about the housing bubble and mortgage meltdown…Florida seems to always be at the center of the discussion….but it is days like this that remind me why Palm Coast, Florida is  paradise.  The skies are bright blue, the water is clear, the sand is clean and the temperature today is in the 70’s.  What an amazingly gorgeous day.  It is so beautiful outside today that I am not even peeved off that gas is at 3.32 per gallon….ok maybe a little peeved…grrr!!!
The DH and I decided that today would be the perfect opportunity … (12 comments)
