Orchids for Dawn Crawley
Dolores and I have been exploring our options for a retirement home. One of the locations that we wanted to consider is Pinehurst, North Carolina.  For some time, I have enjoyed the Pinehurst blogs by Dawn Crawley on ActiveRain.  So, when it came to the selection of a real estate professional, Dawn is the person we contacted.
We met with Dawn last Wednesday and Thursday and received a wonderful introduction to the Pinehurst and Southern Pines areas and were able to see a number of homes in gated communities. Dawn is a model for the famous North … (11 comments)

You may be surprised by the variety of available orchids. They are grown in many colors and shapes.
If you want to polish your skills as a flower photographer, taking hundreds of pictures at the shows will give you the practice that is needed to identify the best angles and lighting. One … (17 comments)

Montgomery County, MD - Weekly Real Estate Report And Foreclosures/Short Sales Update
Home owners and prospective purchasers like to know what is happening in the local market. This report shows the impact of  lender owned foreclosures and short sale pre-foreclosures on the market. Generally speaking, the number of lender owned foreclosures (REO listings) is now too low to influence the home values in the county. It is another story with the short sale pre-foreclosures which are creating an artificial market segment that has a very negative influence in the area.  4% of the 3,100 homes for sale in Montgomery County are … (3 comments)

About 5% of the 2,997 active listings in Montgomery County are … (3 comments)

About 5% of the 2,963 active listings in Montgomery County are … (0 comments)

Bitter or Better, Victim or Victor, Failure or Freedom?  The Bottom Line...
Every time we do something in life and in our career with an expectation of how we want it to turn out, we risk disappointment.  Whether it is a relationship expected to last, a promotion expected to come or a job we expected to keep, when things do not go as we planned, disappointment results.
Disappointment is also a gift that provides the opportunity to see and accept reality, wisdom and gives us the energy to begin again.  It is easy to get stuck in the place of seeing our world through the eyes … (2 comments)

 Sex in Kentlands
I guess the title got your attention. All I have to offer is a very sexy flower.
The neo-traditional community of Kentlands in Gaithersburg, MD is a wonderful place to live. It is ideal for walking with sidewalks throughout the neighborhood.
