Flowers to photograph at Longwood Gardens
Dolores and I enjoy taking photographs of flowers. One of our favorite destinations is Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It is about 127 miles from our home so we can make a day trip or make this a weekend destination. Visitors are surrounded by thousands of beautiful flowers. The current exhibit in the Conservatory is Orchid Extravaganza.

We have a beautiful sunny morning in Maryland. We went to home shows on Friday and Saturday and I spent some time in the garden department of Lowe's. Everybody is thinking about spring and many are buying flowers to plant in their gardens. The wonderful displays of flowers and plants at Longwood Gardens provide a spring preview. The current exhibit is Orchid Extravaganza. It is well worth the trip to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania to visit Longwood Gardens. www.longwoodgardens.org

Dolores and I took hundreds of flower pictures during our February visit to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. The current exhibit is Orchid Extravaganza. This is a place to visit if you enjoy being surrounded by thousands of beautiful flowers and plants. One of the quality of life benefits of living in Gaithersburg, Maryand is having so may places close enough for day trips. Longwood Gardens is about 127 miles from our home in Kentlands.

A good place to visit on a winter day? Longwood Gardens
Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is one of our favorite travel destinations at any time of the year. A winter visit to the Conservatory is a special treat when you are surrounded by thousands of plants and blooming flowers. The current exhibit is Orchid Extravaganza which runs until March 27. The International Orchid Show and Sale will be held on March 25-27, 2011.

Flowers are always blooming at Longwood Gardens
We try to attend all of the major exhibits at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It is one of our favorite travel destinations. The current exhibit in the Conservatory is Orchid Extravaganza. This is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year but a special place to spend some time on a cold winter day. We are expecting more snow tonight in Maryland and thinking about flowers is not a bad thing.

Good weekend to visit Longwood Gardens
If you wish to escape the winter for a few hours, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA might be a good destination. The current show in the huge Conservatory is Orchid Extravaganza. This is an outstanding world class show that is well worth the visit. Be sure to have a camera in hand for hours of photographing the beautiful flowers.
