Our friend in Albuquerque, John McCormack, posted a photoblog in which he states that he is thankful for November roses. All of us should respond with photograph of the November flowers in our communities. We have enjoyed much mild weather in Maryland this autumn. Hurricane Sandy removed many of the beautiful leaves that we were enjoying but some of the flowers are still blooming. The growing season many be over but we still have some color in our garden. Many home owners love to have white flowers in their gardens. In Kentlands, Clematis, in many different colors, is a favorite decoration for white picket fences. Notice the difference between the blooms. Kentlands is in the 20878 zip code that includes home owners from over 120 countries. This zip code area is one of the favorites for families that are relocated to the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia. Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand.

We have a rainy day in Maryland and it is good to add some color. These photographs are part of our Imagination series and are also posted on my Imagination board on Pinterest. The colors have been edited so all of them are different than their natural appearance. iPiccy.com, a free service, was used for the editing. Please follow me on Pinterest and connect with me on Facebook and Flickr if you enjoy flower photography. If you are new to Pinterest, it is also a great resource for recipes. Kentlands Flowers - Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs The weather in Maryland was beautiful for Mother's Day. Dolores and I spent the afternoon at the gardens and then the museum at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC. The rose garden is especially beautiful and the peonies are in full bloom. If you have not visited Dumbarton Oaks, you should add that destination to your list of very special places in the District. The Dumbarton Oaks Museum has a wonderful pre-columbian art collection. We are seeing new spring flowers in Kentlands, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on a daily basis. Now is the time to (17 comments)
