Spring Flowers, Longwood Gardens Photowalk
 
Dolores and I spent a day at Longwood Gardens to enjoy and photograph the spring flowers.   Longwood Gardens is located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, just west of Wilmington, Delaware.  With over 1,100 acres of gardens and a very large Conservatory, this is a world class travel destination.  We are members and try to attend all of the major annual exhibits.
We took several hundred photographs.  In is always good to have your camera in hand to capture the colors of the season.

Enjoying Spring in Kentlands 
 
As we begin the spring season, our home community is enjoying the brilliance of cherry and pear blossoms, and the changing colors of spring flowers and plants. The camellias are loaded with buds and just started to bloom.  
Kentlands is a neo-traditional community located in the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The beauty of the area adds much to the quality of life of the residents.
Enjoy the season and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments that you will want to share with friends and family.

Our tulip season is coming to an end in our area but I took hundreds of photographs while they were if full bloom. Here are a couple of pictures for your weekend enjoyment.

You do not always need unusual flowers to add color to your planters and your gardens. A few petunias might do the job for you and they are available in a variety of colors. I like the petunias because the colors make wonderful photographs.
Be sure to have your camera in hand for your neighborhood photowalks. Enjoy the colors of spring.

Photowalking in our home neighborhood of Kentlands, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is one of my regular activities.  Kentlands is a planned community that is one of the favorites for families that are relocated to the Metropolitan area of Washington, DC. 
Walking is good exercise for me and I enjoy the relaxing moments as I focus my attention on my camera on beautiful flowers, blossoms and plants.  Give photowalking a try for your physical and mental health.

Part of my exercise program is regular walks through the Kentlands community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  When I have time, I have my camera in hand to take photowalks.  It is easy to set aside the problems of the moment when you are focusing your attention and your camera on spring flowers.

Spring is a good time to photowalk through the Kentlands and Lakelands communities in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  I enjoy photographing the flowers and the blossoms.  Many of the daffodils are past their prime but the tulips are blooming in many colors.

Spring is blooming in Kentlands
Life is better when there are flowers to photograph.
 
Dolores and I live in Kentlands, a neo-traditional community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  This area is part of the Maryland suburbs of the District of Columbia.  Kentlands is great for photowalking.  The homes are pretty and there are many flowers among the white picket fences that are common in the neighborhood.

Seeking the Colors of the Season
An important part of my regular exercise program is walking through Kentlands, our home community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The walks are usually extended to Lakelands, the adjoining neighborhood.   The exercise becomes photowalking when I have my camera in hand.

When you frequently photowalk through a community, you will likely notice the changing colors of the season in the flowers, plants and trees.  You really do not need to know much about flowers and plants to photograph them. 
Just point your camera towards the colors with the light and patterns that you like.  The Kentlands Community Spring Flowers encompass a broad range of blooms.  Many of the white picket fences and mailboxes in Kentlands have Clematis vines and blooms of different shapes and colors.

Dolores and I live in the Kentlands community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  This neo-traditional neighborhood is a favorite for families that are relocated to the metropolitan Washington, DC area.  Kentlands is a walking community with sidewalks on both sides of the well lighted streets.

Those of us that enjoy flower photography have our favorite times for taking the best pictures.  We love the morning light for flower photographs and prefer cloudy days that have not deep shadows. 
In the spring, we frequently have spring showers that make the flowers grow.  Photographers love to go out between the showers to capture flower images that show the droplets of rain reflected by the light.  Some photographers cheat a bit and carry a spray bottle to create extra water droplets as desired.

Photowalking through Kentlands - Azaleas are blooming this week
On Tuesday, Dolores was on the golf course and I was taking a photowalk through Kentlands, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, to enjoy the colors of spring.  This week, the featured blooms are azaleas.  And, the azaleas are just beautiful!  It appears that the mild Maryland winter and early spring has created the beauty that we are now able to appreciate in the community.
It is easy to see why Kentlands is one of the highly preferred communities for a home purchase by families that are relocated to the Washington, DC metro area.

We had a mild winter in Montgomery County, Maryland and now we are enjoying beautiful spring weather.  In Gaithersburg, the painters are working overtime and landscapers are in every neighborhood with their spring clean up efforts.
Dolores and I live in the Kentlands community and are closely watching the spring flowers that are appearing on a daily basis.  The average last freeze date in the area is May 10th but many are taking their chances with earlier plantings.
