Travelogue Films Helps Optimist Club Support Loveland Colorado Youth - 02/22/10 09:05 AM
The 2010 Optimist Travelogue films are well on their way. The films are shown at Loveland's Thompson Valley High School, Price Auditorium. All shows are on Saturdays at 7 p.m. Single admission tickets: adult $8, senior & student $7.50, and family $16.
So far our tour has taken us to  "In Search of Shangri-La" with presenter Buddy Hatton in person. This "land of sacredness and peace" at the foot of beautiful of snowcapped mountains in Tibet has just been opened to visitors in the last 5 years. Here are the January 2010 residential market report for Fort Collins-Wellington market.
There were 95 existing homes sold in January. Sales volume was $21,832,700, the highest priced home was $560,000 and the lowest priced was $95,000. The median price came in at $208,500 while the average price was $229,818.
For new construction, had a sales volume of $2,313,629. This translates to 7 homes being sold. The highest priced home was $670,000 and the lowest was $177,900. The median price came in at $234,364 and the average was $330,518. New construction continues to be in a slump.

Here are the January 2010 residential market report for Loveland-Berthoud market.
There were 52 existing homes sold in January. Sales volume was $11,952,535, the highest priced home was $580,000 and the lowest priced was $48,000. The median price came in at $195,000 while the average price was $229,856.
For new construction, had a sales volume of $1,148,902. This translates to 4 homes being sold. The highest priced home was 580,000 (interesting that the highest Price was the same for both markets) and the lowest was $169,900. The median price came in at $192,000 and the average was $287,225. New construction continues to be in a slump.

2010 What will it bring to Northern Colorado Real Estate - 02/19/10 07:51 AM
When I look into my crystal ball to see what 2010 will bring in real estate, I quickly realize that all will change on May 1. Why May first? On May 1st all of the first time home buyers and existing home owners that are seeking a tax credit need to be under contract. Prior to that date, there will be a mass scramble to find a home that matches needs and wants. Some will find the home of their dreams. Others will find a good compromise and finally the rest just didn't find the right home.
