When it comes to the housing market for existing homes, turn off that TV. All they do is rehash the woe is me syndrome. Here is the local information on our market here in Fort Collins Colorado. As you can see below, we are blessed to live in Colorado.
 Volume, the number of homes that have sold, is a good indicator of the market. In the Ft Collins/Wellington market home sales was up 8.2% year to date. Another market indicator is median price.  Volume, the number of homes that have sold, is a good indicator of the market. In Loveland-Berthoud market, the existing home market year to date is 7% above last year. 
 Another market indicator is median price. For Loveland-Berthoud, the median price is up 7.6% year to date.

Blow out those lawn sprinkler systems or pay the price! - 10/14/10 11:22 AM
If you live in the colder climate states it is time to blow out those lawn sprinkler systems. Spending a few dollars will save you in a ton of repairs. I saw a home last year that didn'thave it done here in Colorado. That little $25 to $45 dollar mistake cost the home owner $2500. Not only did it destroy the vacuum breaker, but it destroyed sprinkler heads and underground lines and valves.
