hamptons real estate: Seven Signs Your Relationship Can “Kill” You - 02/20/17 02:47 PM
Most of us dive into relationships thinking that it is everything that we ever need. That finding a special someone will complete our “being.” It takes courage to truly admit that no one and nothing in this planet can complete us.
We are already complete on our own, but the gap caused by ignorance and fear of loneliness cause us to be delusional that is why we enter into toxic relationships.
First and foremost, before I sound like a bitter bitch, I would like to make it clear that I am not saying that all the relationships we encounter are toxic. However, … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: Winter Home Selling or Buying Tips - 02/16/17 01:55 PM
Winter can be a particularly challenging time to buy or sell a house.
If you’ve spent a year or more in "The Hamptons, NY.", you are familiar with the seasonal swings we experience — from sweltering heat and humidity during the summer, to the dark and dreary days of winter.
With each season there are home-buying patterns and trends that directly affect our local real estate markets in a very real way. Let’s be honest about one thing — the winters here in Washington can be less than invigorating; they can be brutal. Yet in all 12 months of a year families grow, … (0 comments)

hamptons real estate: Anthony Bourdain slams ‘privileged’- ‘utter contempt’ of working class - 12/31/16 09:44 AM
Celebrity chef and self-described “privileged Eastern liberal” Anthony Bourdain slammed his fellow leftist elites this week, arguing that their disdain for working-class Americans helped create “the upswell of rage and contempt” that propelled Donald Trump to the presidency.
“The utter contempt with which privileged Eastern liberals such as myself discuss red-state, gun-country, working-class America as ridiculous and morons and rubes is largely responsible for the upswell of rage and contempt and desire to pull down the temple that we’re seeing now,” Bourdain said in an interview with Reason magazine.
“I’ve spent a lot of time in gun-country, God-fearing America,” Bourdain continued. “There are a … (3 comments)

hamptons real estate: WHY FSBO'S NEED REALTORS - 10/05/16 02:55 AM
In 2015 the average FSBO in the United States was sold for $210,000. The normal home with an agent’s help went for $249,000. It’s not a surprise what we can offer.
But there is a difference in just telling them everything you will do for their home verse why it makes such a big difference when they list with an agent.
Paperwork
This is one of the most difficult, and not thought of parts, that owners run into when selling by themselves. According to the National Asociation of Realtors’ 12% of FSBOs said that it was the hardest part of the whole process. It varies from state to state but … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: The Mental Game Of Champions - 10/07/13 12:56 AM
What sets us apart from the also-rans is the mental game. The cornerstone of the mental strength of champions is confidence. This is not a temporary, conditional confidence that disappears when they are not playing well. They believe in themselves and their abilities regardless of the circumstances: their confidence is unconditional.
Unconditional confidence requires a broad perspective, independent of moment-to-moment results. The wider the perspective we have, the better we can weather the ups and downs within a round,a tournament, or a season. We can handle difficulties with poise and we can accept successes with humility.Being fearless in the expression of … (0 comments)

hamptons real estate: Negotiations in a Bidding War - 12/12/12 05:27 AM
When negotiating a deal these days make sure that you dot your i's and cross your t's. This can become a "Nightmare on Elm Street", if you do not pay close attention to all the details. Make a file of every single deal .....No Matter What. This is pretty basic, but you have no idea who is on the other side of the deal, the buyer, the seller , the agent, or even the broker. Since real estate transactions are becoming more difficult to close now more than ever before, make sure that you keep your eye on the ball. Wheather … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: The Joy of Being You - 02/19/11 04:25 AM
Be The Best That You Can Be. Enjoy Life Just By Being Yourself. The Only Opinion That Matters Is your Own.

Unhappines or negativity is a disease on our planet. What pollution is on the outer level is negativity on the inner. It is everywhere, not just in places where people don't have enough, but even more so where they have more than enough. Is that surprising ? NO. The affluent world is even more deeply identified with form, more lost in content, more trapped in ego.
People believe themselves to be dependent on what happens for their happiness, that … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: Hamptons Real Estate.....Position - 12/21/10 07:09 AM
Position is in the mind of the collective market. Reality bearly counts.
During the past 40 plus years while trying to improve myself, and learn everything about "doing business" brings me here today to write these following thoughts. My journey, like many of us, has had it's "ups and downs" over the years. Here, I want to share one of the items that has really stood out for me through my journey.
In my mind, a position statement is the description of how you want you, or your brand to be positioned in the mind of the consumer, client, or customer. There is a huge gap … (0 comments)

hamptons real estate: Refelection In The Glass / Mirror... - 12/20/10 02:20 AM
I read a poem when I was a very young child, some 50 years ago. The content of this poem are crystal clear to me after all these years. My recollection goes something like this:
The Man In The Glass.
When you get what you want with your struggles in life, and the world makes you feel like "King " for the day, just go to look in the mirror and look at yourself, and ask what You See. It is not your mother or father, or wife (in my case) Who's judgement you must pass: The persons verdict who counts most … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: Hamptons Real Estate....Golf...Hampton's Style. - 12/15/10 05:18 AM
For the first time in my life, I joined a Golf Club/Country Club in the Hampton's, NY. My idea was that when I belong to a Golf Club, I can invite business associates to my club to play golf, have lunch or dinner with them and maybe even extend and invite to his or her spouse. Looks great on paper, and it worked out just fine. What I did find out was that the Golf Club that I joined was not on the "A" list of Golf in the Hampton's. Each and every time I extended an invitation to an associate, … (1 comments)

hamptons real estate: Hampton's New York, Golf ..."Playground for the Rich and Famous" - 12/12/10 04:49 AM

Playing golf in the Hampton's is always an experience, you never know who you will meet, or what will happen during your round. I remember the first time I played golf. My twosome was paired up with another twosome, two complete strangers. After my tee shot on the first hole went off the first fairway,I have no idea...landing somewhere in the trees on between Hole 1 and Hole 2, one of the other golfers asked me if I had a handicap. At this point I thought that he was joking, well he was not. The rest of the round went fairly … (0 comments)

hamptons real estate: Hamptons Real Estate - 02/28/10 09:00 AM
Is everyone going crazy at the same time? I think so,buyers and sellers alike. They buyers believe 30%-40% off asking prices are  good offers. The sellers think that it is still pre-stimulus and bank bailouts. Trying to make a deal with this type of thinking is Crazy.
I have recently presented an offer to purchase a home that has been on the market for 3 years, and I am being told that the offer is to low to make a counter offer. Are you kidding me ? Three years of the seller paying the motgage, one would think they would crunch … (0 comments)

hamptons real estate: Termites....You Probably Don't Even Know They Are Eating Your Wood ! - 02/06/10 12:16 PM
Termites cause an estimated $5 Billion Dollars in property damage every year in our homes across the United States. This horrible little insect causes more damage to wood framed homes than fires, floods, hurricanes, or tornado's. This being said, the average homeowner does not even have a clue that these little buggers are chewing away your wood, and you have no idea the danger they pose to your property.
You really don't know a thing until the damage they caused is so severe that it's time to call in a professional to assess the damage. Termites can be feasting on your 2 … (0 comments)
