tx: Forest Creek has crazy squirrels - 02/08/12 11:23 AM
I love the Forest Creek community in Round Rock, TX I live there and have many friends and great neighbors there as well. I have a great home with a fantastic view, covered patios, balcony and back porches. My husband and I love to sit out back listening to the birds and the hooty owls. It is usually all serene and peaceful. Even when it is cold we sit outside because we have a patio heater. So, with that said, yes its 40ish degrees and yes I am sitting outside with the heater but I have my house shoes and sweats on. Yesterday, I

tx: Scrambled Eggs, fried politicians and those that are toast - 01/03/12 08:31 AM
Can you tell I am hungry? Yes, I am going to need to eat something and soon. I have been watching the news and am not sure how, I can say, that I haven't lost my appetite with all that is being reported. But I am having a hard time tearing myself away from the constant craziness. There is the jerk that shot a female Park Ranger unnecessarily, then goes into the forest and dies. He brings his car full of armory and a paper trail of mental illness. Why do these things happen? How does one not see that there is

tx: Austin TX Job growth and Home sales on the upside - 12/30/11 10:16 AM
Austin's new home sales is rebounding due to demand and lot scarcity which in 2012 will create a housing recovery and higher priced homes. This is great for re-sales and new homes and hopefully will turn into a seller's market as opposed to a flood of homes on the market that we have seen in the past couple of years. What that tells me is that any potential Seller should be preparing their homes to put on the market. Your competition will be new homes, so your property needs to shine and have the WOW factor that will be needed to compete. If you

tx: I am having a melancholy day, US Troops come home soon and Thanks!! - 05/31/10 05:38 PM
I hope that each and everyone of you are having a wonderful Memorial Day. I hope that you are doing exactly what you want to be doing whether it's laying by the pool, barbeque-ing, having fun with family and friends, reading blogs on Active Rain or watching TV. Whatever it is, I hope you are doing it. We, my husband and I, opted to stay home (*all day), we watched Clint Eastwood movies (Clint is 80 years old today, so they had an all day marathon), played games on the computer, read the paper, had mimosas, blogged, worked on my website, played

tx: Dive in Night at Sun City Georgetown, Tx - 08/25/09 05:09 PM
As a Senior Real Estate Specialist, I try very hard to keep up with who and what is going on in Sun City, Georgetown, Tx. That statement in itself is exhausting because to keep up with this Fun Filled Action packed community is next to impossible. The residents out there are swamped with things to do. Anyway, getting to the point...I saw that they are having Dive-In Night on Thursday, Aug. 27th. Why do I care? Here is the great part. You bring your bathing suit, beverage, picnic and accessories, you walk the red-carpet to the outdoor pool (which is huge by the way)

tx: What a remarkable day - 01/20/09 09:51 AM
As I watch the inauguration events and history being made today, I can't help but tear up a little because we have never experienced such a revolutionary day. I can remember the day Kennedy died, I was sent home from school. We all sat in complete stun mode watching our black and white tvs...Now, we have HD, Plasma and all the other latest and greatest. That was a memorable day like today...but this is different because we truly have come a long way!! I was so proud of President elect Obama with the writing of the letter to his daughters that

tx: Lake Forest in Round Rock, Tx - 08/02/08 04:59 PM
I am very excited about this neighborhood. It is awesome. When you talk about beautiful neighborhoods in Round Rock, Tx. one of the most heavily treed, conveniently located and well thought out communities, Lake Forest comes to mind. I personally walk the hike and bike trails here because it is so gorgeous and peaceful. Because of the Oak trees and the extensive landscaping, it is shady, serene and is a wonderful place to stroll or watch the wildlife. The homes in this neighborhood are fabulous. Most are custom homes with all the upgrades and classic street appeal. If you want a great place to

tx: You get back what you give, I had a great experience - 05/13/08 11:32 AM
My husband and myself are preparing our home for a retirement party for one of our friends in Round Rock, Tx. We decided it was time to upgrade some light fixtures, spruce up the flower beds, add some color to the front beds, trim the trees all the way around our home, paint inside and paint the front door, to name a few. Needless to say, we have spent every weekend and extra free moments to do so as the party draws near. So, to start, I called my painter to come by and tell me what needed to be done, which

tx: To all the Hard Working Moms - 05/09/08 05:35 PM
This is a sincere post to thank all of the Road Warrior Moms both in Real Estate and the ones that stay at home waiting for us in Real Estate to return home. As we know, this job of selling or listing Real Estate takes us many hours away from our friends and loved ones, but I feel it is worth it. I am doing it for my retirement. I appreciate all the work my husband and family do while I am running up and down the road, in and out of houses and managing those late night negotiations. Thanks for all the support my Mom has

tx: Pico de Gallio in Round Rock, Tx - 09/06/07 01:51 PM
I was reading an article on Food Poisoning, they listed several solutions to lower the risk of poisoning. One of them was wine - OH BOY, I am there, I can handle this. Next was Garlic - says it is a natural defense against nasty bacterias, ok I am still good, means I can drink wine with my italian food. Next - they recommended Yogurt, not interested but I am sure it is good for you and last but not least - MY FAVORITE Salsa. They cited that cilantro contains dodecenal appearing 2x more effective than anitbiotics. OK I am back in. Now

tx: Weather in Round Rock, Tx - 08/22/07 09:34 AM
Oh no!! No more hurricanes. Hopefully, Hurricane Dean will not hit Texas and will keep to the South and not MESS with TEXAS. Our weather patterns have been strange to say the least. At the beginning of the year, we were in a drought, our lakes were way down. Since February, the rain has been relentless and now our lakes are filled to capacity. How is everybody else doing out there?

tx: Sun City, Georgetown, Tx - 08/01/07 11:39 AM
Want a sleepy town atmosphere? Georgetown, Tx is the place to be. A very close knit community with a lot happening. Seniors over 55 are flocking to this laid back town that has all the amenities, shopping and local flavor restaurants. Sun City, Tx located in Georgetown was formerly started by the Del Webb Co. but now is owned by Pulte Homes. Nothing has changed - you've still got golf courses, 3 swimming pools, wood shop, entertainment all the time, dances, events and more. If you love trees, lakes, new shopping center (Wolf Ranch), new Cinema and more check out Sun City, Georgetown, Tx
