 A review of the MLS system this week revealed some owner occupied homes in the Lakes Region of NH that seem like they could be pretty good deals. I really prefer to show my buyers (particularly if they are first time buyers) owner occupied homes versus bank owned properties. That's mostly because with an owner occupied home you get a completed Seller's Property Disclosure that gives basic info about the property condition and buyers are able to get answers from the owners about any concerns they might have. 2009 - Half way there... Lakes Region of NH Real Estate Market Report - 07/16/09 10:36 AM
There was a little more sales activity in the residential home market in the Lakes Region of NH in June with 75 units changing hands at an average sales price of $266,119. That is up from the 69 homes sold in May 2008 but down slightly from the 77 homes sold in June of 2008. The average sales price this June came in at $266,119 which is down considerably from last June's average sales price of $344,228.

Waterfront property sales make up a significant portion of the overall Lakes Region of NH residential home sales volume. So how are we doing half way through 2009? In the communities that border Lake Winnipesaukee (Alton, Center Harbor, Gilford, Laconia, Meredith, Moultonborough, Tuftonboro, and Wolfeboro) there were only 30 waterfront sales (including island properties) through June 30th representing $25,195,752 in total sales and an average sales price of $839,858.
