1st time home buyers: Darby Borough Statistics -- How I interpret the numbers. - 12/03/06 08:15 PM
Some interesting statistics about the borough: Population (year 2000): 10,299. Estimated population in July 2005: 10,046 (-2.5% change)Males: 4,752 (46.1%), Females: 5,547 (53.9%) Delaware County Zip code: 19023 Median resident age: 32.5 years Median household income: $30,938 (year 2000)Median house value: $51,300 (year 2000) How does this help me, you might ask? Well, when I see that the Median income is 60% of the Median home value, that tells me that there are alot of tennants who may not realize they can afford to buy instead of rent. That tells me I have some work to do... If I can help a few of those tennants become home
