I had a lovely lunch with my wife and sons here the other day. I had a sandwich (2 fried eggs, pork roll and cheese on a nice, fresh Kaiser roll). Jinny had an omlette, Chuckie had scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries. Joey had a bagel with cream cheese.
This cozy little luncheonette is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch, with a home-cooked feel. Homesick Swarthmore College students and locals alike enjoy the traditional fare, friendly service, and the fact that the prices won't strain your wallet. (Our 4-person meal, including beverages and tip came to about $26)

4 homes in the Germantown area of Philadelphia, have been incorporated into an educational program called History Hunters.
History Hunters runs a literacy-based educational program that takes students to four historic homes throughout the school year. Students explore such topics as: how early settlers and Native Americans interactedi, how children lived long ago, escaping from slavery on the Underground Railroad, and how one house in Germantown became the center of a fierce Rovolutionary War battle.

There is an effort underway to establish a full grocery that is a cooperative store in Chester. This great news for investors. Anytime a community begins to improve the services available to it's residents, this bodes well for the community as a whole, including real estate values in the area. This particular effort will be doubly important, as it is a home-grown, community-driven effort, as opposed to an external group trying to force a change.
