After hunting opening weekend in Webb county along the Rio Grande, there were several bucks harvested that first weekend. The health of the animals was tremendous. Many speculated as to if it were the hunters recent use of protein feed in the offseason or the rain that occured during this same time. Either way if there is a record number of big bucks harvested this year will it directly affect the rising cost of ranches? My personal feelings is the cost may not increase at the end of hunting season but may justify current escalating prices. ;)
