The Business Education Department at Simi Valley high school is still collecting retired cell phones and inkjet and laser toner cartridges, and they are particularly in need of Canon, Dell, H.P., and Lexmark cartridges. If cartridges are going in the trash at your place of business, or at home, we would like to take the cartridges off your hands, recycle them, and keep the land fills free. For large quantities of cartridges at your place of business, please notify Ms. Thomsen at jthomsen@simi.k12.ca.us and arrangements can be made for the pick-up cartridges.

These products help support the Business Department and also the Virtual Enterprise class, being taught by Ms. Janet Thomsen. The Virtual Enterprise class meets 1st period and is one of 200 California high schools partcipating in this program. They compete against other schools in our area, in business plans, business plan presentation, and trade fair booths.

the City of Simi Valley are sponsoring a Free electronic waste collection event in the mall

parking lot by Wells Fargo Bank, closest to Simi Town Center Way. The event is open to

4th of July Flags

Does anyone know of a great inexpensive place to order miniture flags? The kind on a stick so to speak, in order to put them in the ground or front lawn in this case.

I would love to order 500 or so flags & distribute in my farm area for the 4th of July in people's front yards.

Which brings me to another question, How would I go about attaching a business card to the flag?

Does anyone do this anymore? I used to see it alot back in the day, but not so much recently. I always thougt it was a beautufl sight to see eveyone showing pride in the American heritage.

There is offsite parking with shuttle service to the festival grounds located in areas around the main gate:

Main Parking: Exit the 118 Fwy at Stearns and head South. The parking lot is just North of Los Angeles Avenue next to the Soccer field

Metrolink Train Station: Located across the street from the festival main entrance. Exit the 118 Fwy at Stearns and head South. Go to Los Angeles Avenue and turn Right. The Metrolink train station is on the left side of the street across from the park.

Simi High School: About a mile East of the park, Simi High School has the most parking available. Exit the 118 at Stearns and head South. At Cochran, turn Left/East. Continue on Cochran for about 1/2 mile and Simi High School is on the Right.

Rancho Santa Susana Park, West: There is a small parking lot for the park just West of the main entrance. This one fills up fast. It is across the street from the Metrolink train station.

Handicapped and Special Access: There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces available in the main parking lot. Security will only allow cars with handicapped placards or plates into that lot. Exit the 118 Fwy at Stearns and head South. Go to Los Angeles Avenue and turn Right. The main entrance is about 1/4 mile down on the right. ALL VEHICLES WISHING TO PARK IN THE MAIN PARKING LOT WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW HANDICAPPED IDENTIFICATION IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED IN THAT LOT.

According to the statistics, Ventura County sales were down also last year. I pray that things will change in the coming year. Actually I see changes starting already. It looks like sales were down last year compared to the year 2006 in the Los Angeles county area. It is amazing that the price of condo's in our area run just a tad bit less then SFR even though they have to pay HOA fees, which in the long run make a SFR the same price as a SFR. Just my opinion.
