There are so many ways to use a custom map.

1. Networking with local businesses

2. Selling ad space (we don't recommend this, but can be done if done correctly)

3. Print piece that is so beautiful you can hardly stand it. Print map on one side, your information on the other side.

4. Take your maps into the Chamber of Commerce, listing businesses on the other side with contact information.

5. The list goes on.

I would love any ideas on how you would use a map to market. Alot of these ideas are coming from our clients who tell me what they think will work!

I need help please, how do I protect our designs!!!!

There is a company that is hosting a couple of designs for our clients. We no longer work with this company, and see that the links were not put up properly or not at all.

To protect the clients I am not mentioning who this company is.

What recourse do I have for intellectual property rights if they do not put our information up or not correctly?

This is not Advanced Access, as I have resolved this with AA and they assure me that this is not a problem and my links have been put up on the AA sites that I requested.

We are now designing beautiful custom maps of anything you can think of. There are maps for golf, for skiing, for special interest, we are designing one just for dog parks in San Diego.

Am I the only one that is offended by this saying? Somehow it is the hip thing to say to someone, and it's rude.

We were at a tradeshow last year and my son walked up to 2 gentleman wanting to ask them a question, and said, "Dude...," it was funny that he had the courage to do this, but I was also horrified that my child showed such disrespect to a stranger.

Then to offend even worse if for another female to address me as "Dude." I am a woman, and a lady and do not wish to be a Dude.

What happened to old fashioned manners, like sir or maam? It wasn't that long ago when the children addressed their teachers with respect, like Miss ... I don't expect that, but certainly a level of respect would be nice from our children and grown adults who are too old to be cool by saying "dude".

On 4th of July, we celebrate freedom, which includes freedom of speech. I know that the troops do not address their commanders as "dudes", they are taught to respect all. Just because we can call someone dude in our society, doesn't make it smart or hip. It's just plain dupid.

Why I love Ramona, California

I can't think of a more beautiful place to live. Ramona has had quite a bit of rain so far this year. I ride a horse at the International Equestrian Center and recommend Kim Lenahan from http://www.shadytreehorses.com. Kim is the kindest trainer and person I have ever met. Her barn is family oriented and the kids she works with are phenomenal. I lease "Bug" with my son, and the weather has been paradise.

You can find camels, buffalos, llamas, zebras and many other critters here in Ramona. After two fires, our town has become stronger. People are friendlier than ever. We value our neighbors and friends. 30 minutes to the snow, 45 minutes to the San Diego beach or desert. We live right in the middle of majestic mountains. I love it here and invite you to come and visit us.
