      <title>Where did Company paid Health Care come from?</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Back in the 1940's and WWII there was a WAGE FREEZE.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dating back to the 1940's and WWII, the government imposed a wage freeze.&amp;nbsp; Companies, with the inability to increase wages, needed to attract and keep workers another way.&amp;nbsp; They decided to pay for employee's individual surgical or hospital insurance premiums; pension plans also began.&amp;nbsp; At the end of WWII employers wanted to discontinue the insurance payments and pension arrangements, the employee didn't like this idea and took employers to court.&amp;nbsp; The Supreme Court declared employee benefits, including health care benefits were considered wages and therefore subject to collective bargaining under the Taft-Hartley Act.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Wages and benefits are part of a total package and now health care costs are driving companies out of business....is this what goes around ...comes around?&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;As a Realtor I'm don't see any difference in our housing market in CT because of the $8000 Tax Credit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In my opinion, if the Government wanted to kick start the housing market, they would &lt;strong&gt;Alter the Tax Credit law to be a Credit at Closing&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Home buyers need the help on closing they can't wait a year for the money.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;How about putting $80 billion into a fund to be used for closing costs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then offer $8000 towards closing costs to ANY homebuyer who buys a single family home this year until the $80 billion is used up.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The banks didn't have to wait a year for their money.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The auto makers didn't have to wait a year for their money&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pass this&amp;nbsp;along if you agree&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>CT Foreclosure Fears and Information</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;CT doesn't&amp;nbsp;have&amp;nbsp;as many foreclosures as other States but we have enough. Don't be scared of foreclosures in your neighborhood or the so called experts saying that &quot;your neighborhood values will go down&quot;. That's true but ONLY Temporarily. The appraisers only go back 6 months so the foreclosures will work their way through the market and the market value will come back just like they did in the 90's.&lt;br /&gt;The RTC worked and properties were foreclosued and sold then the values returned, so don't believe the pundits.&lt;/p&gt;
