KCPRG is a networking group of local business professionals that meet every week to refer business back and forth. We are a relatively new group with members in that include:

Overland Park BNI #20 Update

We have added a new member to our networking group! The new member is a relocation consultant with North American Van Lines, welcome aboard Beth! We are still looking to grow our weekly networking group. Our goal is to finish 2008 with 30+ members!

I am happy to say that our networking group is growing! I have made previous posts about the positions we would like to see in our networking group. Recently, we have had a plumber and a commercial realtor join our group. I actually got a referral from the commercial Realtor the same day! I had two referrals for the plumber in our group.

Basically, anyone that deals with people and is looking to grow their business by word of mouth referrals is encouraged to come and check us out. We have moved our meetings to every Wed. morning at 7:15 am at 7900 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS 66210 (please call if you want to check us out, that way I can let our group know to put on more coffee and have another bagel ready!).

Online Networking

I was wondering what kind of on-line networking sites other people use? I have put my information in Active Rain, Linked-in, and Zoom Info. I know there should be a limit on how much of this stuff you do, but does anyone have any other sites that they have used and or liked? My experience is that the more people use the networking sites the more they will get out of them.

Has anyone used Myspace? I have seen people put everything under the son on their Myspace page. Personally, I think this is a better forum for listing your information in a professional context.

I have also seen people use You Tube to promote their real estate business. Again, similar to Myspace, I have mixed feelings about this also. I wouldn't mind posting a "First Time Home Buyer" presentation on You Tube, but I am also just looking to gather a little feedback.

Any other sites or related information is greatly appreciated.

We currently have eight active members in our networking group. We have had a few come and go but we have a strong core group that is excited about growing! We currently meet every Wednesday morning for breakfast at 7:15. The location changes occasionally.
