Brea Fest

I will be a part of the City of Brea's 'Brea Fest', Friday, August 15th. It is an evening of music, food and activities for adults and children. Tickets are sold at the event which you can use to sample the foods from the many restaurants in Brea, like TAPS, The Yard House, and Octopus. There are games for the kids, located in the upper levels of the City Hall. There are live bands, local dancers and singers and two stages to view.

I have volunteered for this event for over 10 years, and it is always one of the events I look forward to. All the proceeds go to the Brea Arts Foundation. The event runs from 6PM to 10PM. Miss Brea Contest

Brea held it's first ever Miss Brea Contest on Monday, March 10th. It was wonderful. The young lady chosen to be our 2008 Miss Brea was Kelsey Dysart. She graduated from Brea Olinda High School in 2007 and now attends Cal State Fullerton and won a $5000 scholarship. The first runner up was Vanessa Atanay, a senior at Brea Olinda.

I was lucky enough to be one of the volunteers of this exciting event, which was held at the Brea Improv. I am looking forward to the coming years, when this becomes an annual tradition for the talented young ladies of Brea. The contest is open to girls from the age of 17 - 24.
