Disney World Cristmas Parade. Disney vacation Club(DVC).

Have you ever had the opportunity to watch the Christmas Parade out at Disney? If not, you need to. It really is an awesome display. There Christmas Parade is a major draw so you have to get to the parks very early in order to secure a good spot to watch from.

While I love the parade this is one day I just can't "do Disney". The crowds are too much for me.

BUT.....if you were a member of the Disney Vacation Club you could get a "jump" on the crowds and ensure that you and your family have good seats for the parade. Guests of Disney are allowed entry into the parks 1 hour before the general public. Unless they have recently changed this, this is a nice little perk.

Disney during the Holidays can be a very hectic place so being able to get a head start is a big deal. Then of course, as Disney Vacation Club owners you could just use your "time" laying out on the beach in Vero Beach or golfing at Hilton Head Island SC. How ever you choose to use your vacation it will be sure to be enjoyable. After all Disney is the best vacation destination in the World!!

Hello there my fellow Mouseketeers. Did you know "Mouseketeers" was the name given to the members of the Mickey Mouse Club? That being the case, I wonder if members of the Disney Vacation Club(DVC) should be called "Clubeteers"?

Nope....I don't like that. Doesn't sound right. How about Vacationteers? OK, obviously I'm struggling with a witty name for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) owners. I know.......lets have a contest!!! Let's see who can come up with a creative and witty name for Disney Vacation Club owners. If you have any ideas then please leave then in the comment section of this post.

Now how about a prize? The best name chosen by me using my sole discretion will win.................nothing!! Ok how about I'll write a post about ya. I'll make you famous on the Internet. Or at a minimum you can be famous on my blog.

Lake Buena Vista

The Disney Vacation Club point system timeshare. DVC Resales available at http://www.resalesdvc.com/

The real estate interest is represented by "vacation points". A customer purchases a number of vacation points as a one-time purchase, becoming a "member" of the "club". The price as of March 5th, 2007 was $104 per vacation point with the minimum purchase being 160 vacation points. After the initial purchase members are charged annual dues based on the number of vacation points they own. In 2007, the dues ranged from $4.12 to $5.63 per vacation point. Members receive a yearly allotment of these vacation points. Vacation Club members can then use these points to make reservations at one of the Vacation Club resorts or any of the other options available. The number of points needed depends on the room type, resort, and time of year selected. Points can be saved, or "banked", for use the following year. Points can also be borrowed from the upcoming year, for use in the current year. Point charts available from the menu bar above.

Home resort Animal Kingdom, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Wilderness Lodge, Vero Beach Resort and Hilton Head

A member's "home resort" is the resort in which they have a real estate interest. The main advantage to owning a real estate interest in one resort over another is that members are allowed to make reservations at their home resort up to eleven months in advance. For the other resorts it is only seven months. Another very important fact relating to the home resort is that any exchanges for accommodations external to resorts are made to and from a member's home resort. Lastly, a member's home resort determines the amount of a member's annual dues.

Expiration

A DVC membership expires based on the home resort of the membership. The following table provides the year in which a membership at each home resort will expire:

Room types

Studio

The studio is similar to a standard hotel room. The studio unit consists of two double beds (or one queen bed and a sleeper sofa) and a table. Also included is a wet bar with an under-counter refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. Each unit has a small patio with two chairs and a small table. The studio unit sleeps a total of four people.

One-Bedroom Vacation Home

The one-bedroom unit has a master suite, a living room, a kitchen, and a private patio. The master suite has a king-size bed, a master bath with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, and a television. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa and a television. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range, stove, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave oven. There is also a laundry closet with a washer and a dryer. The one-bedroom unit sleeps four people.

Two-Bedroom Vacation Home

The two-bedroom unit usually consists of a one-bedroom unit and a connecting studio. Some are dedicated two-bedroom units consisting of a one-bedroom unit and a second bedroom with two queen sized beds, a table with chairs, a television set, a private balcony or patio, and a full bathroom. The two-bedroom unit sleeps a total of eight people.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villa

The three-bedroom unit is the most luxurious vacation home at Vacation Club resorts. Each unit has three bedrooms and three baths, spanning two floors. The first floor has a master bedroom suite, a living room, a kitchen. The master bedroom suite has a king-size bed, a master bath with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, and a television. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, queen-size sleeper sofa, and a television. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range, stove, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave oven. The second floor has two additional bedrooms. Each of these rooms has two double-size beds (or one queen bed and a sleeper sofa) and a private bathroom. There is also a laundry closet with a washer and a dryer on the second floor. Three-Bedroom Grand Villa unit sleep a total of twelve people. The Grand Villas at the BoardWalk Villas are single story units. Both the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club Villas do not contain Grand Villa units.

Note: There are slight variations in unit configurations from resort to resort.

Disney Vacation Club Resales for a simpler vacation.

Hi folks. As you know, I'm new to this Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resale stuff so I'm trying to learn how these Disney Vacation Club Memberships work. Here's what I learned today. DVC is based on a point system. You buy into the Disney Vacation Club by purchasing points. Once you have points you can use them at any of Disney's 5 resorts in Orlando. Or you can use them at their resorts in Hilton Head Island SC and Vero Beach Fl.

Now here's where it get goods. You don't have to use all your points at the same resort. Think about that for a minute. This means you could take a week, or more, vacation and spread it around.

For example, let's say you live in NJ and have a week or so of vacation time. You want to go to a golfing resort, the kids want to go to Disney World and the wife wants nothing more than to go lay on the beach and work on her tan for a week. Now in a normal situation we know who is going to win this little battle. The wife!!! So even though you busted your butt all year to finally get some down time you will be spending it at the beach playing miniature golf with bored kids driving you crazy. Sounds like fun doesn't it?

But......if you belonged to the Disney Vacation Club you could do this: Spend 2 nights and 3 days in Hilton Head playing golf while the wife sits in the room and sulks. Then head on down to Disney World in Orlando for a few days and take the kids to see Mickey Mouse while the wife sits in the room and sulks. Finally, you could head over to Vero Beach for a few days and let the wife lay out on the beach and work on her tan. In fact, be a good husband and buy her some of those wrap around mirrored sun glasses so she can check out all the good looking guys on the beach. No more sulking.

So there you have it, an adventure packed vacation built around what everyone in the family desires. Sounds perfect doesn't it?

Why not use a Disney Vacation Club membership as an award?

Two days ago I wrote a post titled "Want to Buy a Disney Vacation Club Resale?". As most of you know, I'm brand new to this Disney Vacation Club Resale stuff, so I'm just kind of throwing up some little posts to try and generate some Google juice and business, for my family and their new company, Garden Views Realty, Inc.

Well, in the comments section of my last post, ActiveRain member Bruce Parker, expressed an interest in purchasing a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Resale to use as a prize for the top selling agent, in his real estate company, next month.

So that got me thinking, what a great idea! Memberships to DVC can be purchased for as low as about $10,000 and would make an awesome prize to use in company contests. The best thing is you could use it over and over again. You could award it to one person each year and they could use it to go to Disney World or use it at the Disney Resort in Vero Beach Fl or even Hilton Head Island, SC.

And, if all your agents/employees suck.....well, you could use it yourself and then rub their noses in it!!! OK, just kidding. You don't have to rub their noses in it.

It's hard to believe the Holidays are closing in on us already. It seems the older I get the faster time flies by. Are you thinking about presents yet?

Well, if you are, here's an idea for you. Did you know that Disney World in Orlando Fl. has a vacation ownership resort? In fact, they have several of them in Florida including the Disney Vacation Club in Lake Buena Vista Fl.

Now I'm not an expert on the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), BUT my family is. So, what I would do if I wanted to get some information on the Disney Vacation Club, I'd contact Kinn "DVC" Tutas, my younger bro' or Jaki "Grandma" Tutas, my mother and see what they have to say. They've been doing this stuff for 11 years and are experts at it. Me? I just write stuff and try to send them business. They pay me for this.....can you believe it?
