Wow I finally did it, after months of praying I decided to move my license to a Real Estate office close to home. it was a hard decision, and I will truly miss my friends at Dynamic, but I felt God leading me in a new direction. It makes it hard when you like and respect your broker and team, but God had other ideas for me. So I am with Red Door Realty as of today. i meet the Broker in charge yesterday and felt a peace I have not had in weeks. Please pray for me durning this change and thanks for all your great ideas and concern durning the months of debating. The biggest benefit is the office is 1 mile from home, and I will not have to fight traffic to get to the office. i just got my NC Broker lic and If I choose to list properties I am only 20 minutes away. So it was a great move for me. I wish all my friends at Dynamic well and hope the future brings them lots of great things!. So I am up for your ideas what is the best way to market my move, any ideas I'd love to hear them

My son Matthew has 4 huge finals in Aeronautical Engineering today. He has a great scholarship, but has to keep a B . He was really stressed out because of it. Would you please pray for him today!!! He know the material, and loves the classes, just a lot of information to remember! Matthew really needs our prayers! I pray that God intervenes in all Matthew does and keeps him safe and focused!

Continued Education, while the market is slower take advantage of the time! Just don't give uP!!!

Now more than ever the more informed you are about Real Estate the better. Things are changing so fast that any class or Lic you can get is very valuable. I just applied for and received my NC Real Estate Lic for NC. As a SC Realtor I felt that since I deal with properties that connect with NC ( we live within 15 mile of the state line) that this would be a assets to me. You would not believe the properties that are located in 2 sates! Last year a parcel of property had 2 address on in SC and one in NC, it was cut in half! I am taking classes to make sure I know what is going on in the world of Finance and Real Estate, during the slow time. Like everything being ahead of the game will help you in the long run. Don't let the slow time get you down, do what you can to pay the bills and use the extra time for Education, you will use this information when the market comes back! The market is coming back slowly, and if we as professionals are on top of changes we will be more valuable to our clients! My son is a freshman this year in collage and we tell him Education is top priority in getting ahead in the job market today, so I feel I must practice what I preach, and set a example to my kids. If you feel Real Estate just isn't your game anymore, is there a way you could take your education and build on it towards something else. Motivation and prayer will get us through this tough time. Just don't give up! Trust God there is a plan for you! Times are tough, but we can't sit back and let it get us, fight back and do something for yourself!

Just when I thought everything was calming down, kids back to school and the quietness of fall was setting in my family was hit by a serious unexpected accident , this time my husband Rick!. He fell on steps going to take the dog out. Someone had spilled something on the steps at a earlier picnic. I heard him yelling and hear the dog barking and went to find out what the commotion was. Rick had fell and really injured is ankle and knee. i had to call my son Matt to help him get him in the house, and later to the ER. Two ex-rays later and 2 Doctors later we found from a excellent Dr. Rick broke cartilage loose in his knee, so he had surgery to repair, and in 24 hours later was admitted for bleeding under the knee cap, his leg swelled twice it's size. He lost quit a bit of blood and had to stay in the hospital for 3 days! He could not move his leg, the muscle would not work and he couldn't move his leg without assistance! Prednisone, pain med's and 2 weeks of therapy have got him moving, however he has to keep on crutches for 4 weeks. He is better and life is getting back to somewhat of a normal routine. Thank God my broker lets us have our office at home or I would really be in trouble!!! So life moves on, but Rick feels very isolated and boarded , and needs help a lot, but God is good because it could have been a lot worse! Praising God for all the prayer request answered, that Rick can now feel his leg and move it without someone helping him! When accidents happen like this you quickly realize the small things in life make you smile, that good friends will help, and small things make you happy. I have learned never sweat the small stuff and your kids really will rally when you need them !!!! So God once again used a bad thing in our life to point out lots of good things. Thank you God for your mercy, love and hope. My faith is stronger because God has taught me to be happy for the small things! We trust God for Rick's full recovery and ask for prayer that he heals and the pain in his leg and back goes away, this is the biggest issue right now, he can't sleep or get comfortable. Most of all that God will allow me to get busy and get some things sold for the winter. But I know I must trust God, because he will provide more than I possible can even hope for. Fall is here and a change in the season brings new life to the market. To be honest it really is a great time to buy. The rates are down and there are a lot of incentives to buy. The $8000.00 tax incentive will not be here forever and there are lots of good mortgages around. You really need to do your homework and compare rates and companies. Greenville and Travelers Rest SC markets are picking up. Travelers Rest SC just announced exciting news as they are moving forward with there redevelopment of the area. There are great business incentives, and the main street is being redone. The walking trail is finished which connects Travelers Rest to the North end of Greenville. You can commute from Furman University to Greenville by bike or walking now. There are several homes on THE WOODS, Watson Crossing and North Cliff that allow neighbors to walk or bike to Furman, and downtown Travelers Rest. The new City Hall as well as Recreation center is planned within 1/2 mile. The appraisals are up in the area, which means you will get more for your money. Leap of Courage! Leap of Faith!

My son who just never was sure of what he wanted to do woke up one morning smiling . He had decided what he wanted to do with his life. As a senior he had a hard time deciding what he wanted to be. He struggle with this, and one night we told him to leave it to God and trust him to open his eyes to the future. Well boy did he, he knows without a doubt he wants to be a Pilot. The very next day he signed up and got excepted with the Emory Riddle program in Aeronautical Engineering. Then he signed up for flight school and believe it or not was able to start flying that day. I mean like come on over we have a opening, you can start today. This I tell you is very rare. So we went over for a tour and his instructor said grab your flight equipment lets go. I almost passed out. He took off and was gone in 15 minutes. With Rick and I watching from the ground, and my heart in my throat! My son came back with a Hugh grin on his face and joy in his heart. He was addicted and has been flying for about a month 3 times a week. He fly's with his instructor but handles everything himself, he talks, sleeps and does everything about flying. He even changed his diet to only healthy, no soda! WOW he wants to fly commercial jets and is planing on joining the air force reserves. He know in his heart that this is his life's purpose and he tells us of flying through clouds and the joy he feels in the sky so close to God, to him this is it! I stand amazed at the change in my son, all fear of the future is gone and a positive feeling of knowing he is doing what is meant to be. The kid that worried about the future has taken control of it and is so excited about the future. His gaol is in 5 years to be a pilot like no other! WOW!!!!

Back to school already! Wished Time could stand still!

Hard to believe that summer time is coming to a end. School starts Monday for my son who is now a freshman in Collage. Greenville County starts Wednesday! My daughter is a senior this year. WOW time has flown by. I took some time to be with my family this summer and I still feel I did have enough time with the kids. Between work and activities we managed to squeeze in a few days of fun and family time. I feel like time is getting away. Real Estate is finally coming back, and the market is getting better so time does heal things! At times you wish time would hurry up like when your waiting on something fun, but when your babies grow up and leave it is hard to want time to fly. It is truly a new time for my families and we are trying to find a pace that we can still have together. Time is fragile and you can't get it back. So make the most of it and remember why your kids are little you might want to make time, because they grow up fast and one day you'll understand the meaning of hoping time would stand still. I am very excited for my kids, just a little sad for me! But I know that God is in countol and all is well. Enjoy the last few weeks of summer and take some time now while you can make memories to last.

Unauthorized Advertising being put on my blogs

Don't leave animals in the car

It was 100 degrees Friday and I thought I would melt. I stopped at the grocery to pick up a few things and noticed this older couple lock there dog in the car, and walk in the store leaving a small crack in the window. I told them it was dangerous and they looked at me like I was crazy. It told they every nicely that it was 100 degrees outside and they could kill there pet leaving it in the car. They said they never realized it could get that hot and the man went and took the dog out while his wife picked up there few items, still when I was leaving he was still sitting waiting on her! I am sure that dog would die if he was left in the car as long as they were at that store. Please leave the dog at home, he would be better off. On top of that itis illegal and you could go to jaii. I dont think the dog really needs a nice ride in this heat! Please be careful it is really hot outside and closed vehicles can get hot in minutes!

What a Vacation

My kids and friends went to Florida for a week of fun the day my son graduated high school. i ended up getting more rest than I thought, because the first 5 minutes out of the car I stepped on a nail and cut my foot really bad, I was on pain medicine and antibodics for a week!. I ended up buying the most expensive pair of flip flops I have ever worn," Niki" because they were the most comfortable thing I could get on my foot. So I limped around Port Orange for a week, dodging heavy rain and lightening. We caught up on stories and talk time and enjoy lots of food!! We had plans to go to Universal, but I couldn't do the walking so we promised to take the kids to Six Flags next week when I am able to walk without wearing out! So we did get to spend time with Matt. His girlfriend only called 10 thousand times to fuss and yell because we would'nt let her go, we only wanted some time with our son, and she really got mad at us, but oh well!!, Matt tried to be was a sweetie and just made us laugh most of the time. We did great with 4 teens ages 17-18 with only one SUV, kinda was like when they were little and had to be with us LOL!!! So we are back with graduation over and things back to normal I really miss the late night laughter and pray that God will bless us with more family time soon, maybe without a injury!!! I really am kinda sad that Matthew is heading to collage and those times are very few, wished I had more time, all you parents with younger kids and teens enjoy your time now, time fly's

Surprise for graduation, need your help

We are making a scrap book for my sons graduation, if you have any advice for a senior that graduates in 3 days we'd love to hear your advice from others . He is going to try for Air force as a pilot and college in Aviation, and I'd love to give him advice from other parents, militry esperience, military parents or just general advice from others. Thought it would be neat for him to see how many people really care about the seniors that are graduating and what other parents have to say to seniors. Have fun!!!! Matthew is 18 and a senior at Travelers Rest High School in SC, he is a great kid that loves Jesus with all his heart!

My son Matthew graduates in 3 short days. We have tried to give some thought to all the advice we wanted to give him as he starts a new part of his life. Matthew's name means "A Gift From God" and he has truly been one! He has kept me and God tight in prayer since the name he was born!. I say this not as a joke, but in truth. My son walked at 9 months old and has been way ahead of his age since. He always did those first things way ahead of the baby book. Matthew goes through life at the rate of speed. A little ADD, but extremely smart. So he keeps you on your toes. His favorite words were I need and I can do it, and he does! We are so proud of Matthew, he has decide he wants to go into the Air force, he wants to sail through the clouds and be as close to God as he can. It is really hard to let go, because I know he will be the one never in fear to be the one to get it done before everyone else. Inprayer I ask God to send Matthew a guardian angle that doesn't get tired, and loves adventure. As Matthew walks across the stage Wednesday we hand over the right of passage from childhood to manhood. He has been begging for this since he was 12!! We give him our love and respect and our prayers. For we have preached, taught and parented for 18 years and we know that God has big plans for Matthew, and we must stand back and let Matthew spread his wings. Time has tried to prepare us for this time, and It is very hard. My loving and verywise mom told me before she died to love my kids with all my heart, protect them and prepare them for life, and make sure God was 1st in the child's life and no matter where they go in life they will come back to you. We have loved Matthew though good times and teen times and stood our ground and never looked back,even when he was so mad at us he could have self exploded! So many times he has felt we were holding him back, and the girlfriends that quickly became over us in time and love, yet we held our ground and prayed. We feel he is ready for the world and know that God is right beside him, our only advice is to make sure God is 1st in all he does and he will go far. So as graduation day approaches we want Matthew to know that we love him, and we are behind him in all that he does. Our advice always make sure you are pleasing God and never let anyone get in the way of what God has planned for you, just make sure it is Gods will and you will go far. We want him to meet his dreams, but caution that sometimes we want what God does not want us to have, and we must be patient. Because in time you will look back and see why God does say no for a reason. As parents we had to say no , and we were not his best friend at times. Sometimes he hated us, because we held our ground, but we did this in love! Not just being mean. So the time has come, Matthew you are about to cross over into new adventures, with it comes responsibility, always remember to trust God in all you do and you will go far. Enjoy and learn all you can, and remember we will always be here when you need us. Our love for you will never die, and yes we made it though high school!! Love and best wishes CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Very Thankful I have a closing next week

I am so thankful that I have a closing Monday on my Golf Course property. I have babied this thing all the way to the last week and have jumped every hurdle known. Through faith and prayer my family has made it through a lot of tight and frustrating times. I now know that God was preparing us for the way the world has gone. My kids are content with what they have and are not having the hard time with being happy with what they have. God has taught our family to be happy with what we have. We prayed through every need and thank him for our blessings. I feel so fortunate to have made it through the last few years with total dependence on God. i guess I got into Real Estate at the last of the good times and never experienced a huge loss as others. But by counting on God I have meet every need and them some. Our family is content with what we have and are at peace with the worlds problems. Because I know that God is in Control and he will see us through it if we only trust him. God is the only way and he to will see you through life's troubles. Pray and give your troubles to him, and count on true blessings from him. Prayers might not be answered as you think the should, but for the better, you will see. Easter is a time of new birth and hope. Give your hope and trust to God and watch how your life will change! Be still and know that I am God

Help I got a New Mac computer! Nothing gets along with it. Need help

We broke down and replace our old Dell. It was ready for pasture. Well my husband thought the Mac was the thing. I like it, however nothing plays well with it. MLS Paragon will not work on it. I can't put pictures on my blogs, little squares apear instead. I am about to lose it. My kids due virtual school and when they save a file, have the time it doesn't save or you can't open it. Help need answers, any Mac pro please save me!!! Would it help to buy windows for it?

Son's first flight is a disaster!

Matt was to fly out of Greenville today at 4 and at 6:45 he is still there. i would have ran when they announced they were having maintenance issues, not Matt he is in for the long haul. Did I mention his return flight is 12pm tomorrow! He might want to just stay on the plane! Please keep him in your prayers! HE is my stubborn child. it is going to make him or break him! He was going on a $19 flight special on Alginate for a concert with friends and coming home the next day, guess his only entertainment will be the fights in the airport. Please do keep him in your prayers! While your at it please pray for my patients with a very stuborn 18 year old, who loves God with all his heart, but is driving his parents crazy!!!!

I have run my self crazy this week, trying to make sure everyones needs were meet and now it is Wednesday and I feel like it is Monday all over again, bad enough for us to eat frozen waffles for supper!!!!. I have had 2 listings this week and calls on my properties and I am very excited to see the market rumble a little. Faith in the storm is all we have and nothing can change destiny. Sometimes a good cry might help and maybe pulling a blanket over your head. But in the end time does not stand still and we will face what ever is up!
