      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Obama Administration Making Home Affordable program will offer assistance to as many at 7 to 9 million homeowners.&amp;nbsp; The program is geared towards those homeowners who are making thier best effort to make their mortgage payments while attempting to prevent foreclosure.&amp;nbsp; As we know the effect of ongoing&amp;nbsp;foreclosures has &amp;nbsp;a devestating impact&amp;nbsp;on familities and communities.&amp;nbsp; The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act works to save or create new jobs, and the Financial Stability Plan works to get credit flowing, the Make Home Affordable will aide recovery in the housing market and ensure workers are able to continue to pay off their mortgages.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DO lick on the link for the full article and the impact of the Obama proposed foreclosure prevention program.&amp;nbsp; Even more important is that potential homebuyers who are qualified should BUY NOW and lock into a 30 year fixed rate mortgage.&amp;nbsp; WHY?&amp;nbsp; Becuase there is talk that at the back end of this fallout we will face steep inflation.&amp;nbsp; Locking in to a long-term&amp;nbsp;rate will fix some of your living costs as a consumer.&amp;nbsp; In periods of high inflation, rents, interests, and other costs only go up,up and up.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Mortgage rates are low, inventory is good and housing is well priced.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;No matter what I try to reframe, I&amp;nbsp;work in the resort community of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It is hard to get Buyers into the community to look at property when it is snowing and February.&amp;nbsp; I keep thinking 'tell me it isn't so' but it is.&amp;nbsp; Now, there are some folks back looking and it is either under 200K or over 4million.&amp;nbsp; (No, not all my customers!)&amp;nbsp; But I am tired of waiting to have people walk into the office....yes I advertise, but you know what I mean.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; So, I decided to bring the show into the Chicago area which is about 40-50 miles outside Lake Geneva.&amp;nbsp;Our Buyers are all from the Chicago marketplace.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I am holding an Open House at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Old Orchard Road in Skokie on February 26th, from 1-8 p.m.&amp;nbsp; 'Lake Geneva Real Estate on the Road'&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I am ready&amp;nbsp;to answer questions, print&amp;nbsp;information, hand out listing information and be available to&amp;nbsp;my Buyers, potential Buyers and my&amp;nbsp;current clients with second homes.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Social networking is about the discussion so tell me what you think or better yet send customers!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I do work with referrals.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;And even better what you are doing to think outside the box.&amp;nbsp; Thanks!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Area growth &amp;#39;healthy&amp;#39; amid national issues&lt;br /&gt;By RICK ROMELL&lt;br /&gt;rromell@journalsentinel.com&lt;br /&gt;Posted: March 27, 2008&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The growth in property values in southeastern Wisconsin slowed last year but increased by a &amp;quot;still healthy&amp;quot; 6%, the Public Policy Forum said in newly released research.&lt;br /&gt;Walworth and Kenosha counties, probably benefiting from their proximity to Chicago and northern Illinois, led the way. But the region as a whole held up well amid the problems that have beset real estate nationally, forum President Rob Henken said.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Southeastern Wisconsin&amp;#39;s property value growth fell off the 10.7% pace of 2005-&amp;#39;06, but other parts of the country have seen values decline, Henken said. &amp;quot;It certainly looks to be very good news ....that that has not&amp;nbsp; happened here as of the 2007 data, and having a 6% growth rate in the region is not anything to feel bad about,&amp;quot; he said. &amp;quot;Even these numbers may be higher than some had&amp;nbsp; expected.&amp;quot;Walworth County&amp;#39;s total value rose 10.5% last year.
