Landlords, or those who would like to be, are able to find great prices on not only single family homes, but duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes. There seems to be no shortage of people who need a home to rent. As lending standards tighten, more first time buyers will continue to rent a little longer before buying. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We continue to see many vacant homes on the market throughout the twin cities. Some are bank owned. Some are simply vacant because the owner has already moved up. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Many sellers will take their property off the market until spring. The reduction in inventory over the holidays is no reason to stop looking. The most motivated sellers will continue to try to sell. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bank owned properties are always available. Purchasing a bank owned property is potentially a different experience than buying from a family. Each bank has differing procedures when reviewing your offer. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Rates are still low. Prices are still good.
