Should I kill the deal before it kills me?

One of my agnets turns in a contract, executed by buyer and seller. Our listing was listed at $265,000 and the executed contract is for $280,000 with a seller contribution to buyer of $50,000.

I called the lender who sent the pre-qual and his response was "we can close this deal, we do this all the time"

I am trying to stay out of the way, but wondering if there is a RESPA violation in the making and do I as a R.E. Broker have any contingent liability.

Florida's Property Tax Proposal

The recent proposal in the Florida Legislature to eliminate property tax for Homestead properties and rollback the taxes by 20% on non-Homestead property is a great idea. We are experiencing a time where more residents are moving out of Florida than new new residents moving into Florida. That is a symptom of the need for change. The changes suggested are a giant leap towards solving the issue in an equitable fashion.

The Florida economy grows as more people move to Florida, buy second homes in Florida and visit florida. This bold move by the legislature will provide the grease to make the wheels of progress turn.

Increasing the sales tax is a fair and equitable means of distributing the burden equitably to all, not just to property owners.

Is it time to open the champagne?
