Give new life to your Hp toner cartridge

I have a HP 2600n office jet printer and a HP 7600 all in one printer. When my printers states that I need a new cartridge I just ignore it until it won't printer any longer. Do you recommend I find out where the reset chip is or just print till it won't print any more? Also, any idea where I can find the # for these chips.

Replacing the chip is easy and I did not even have to remove the cartridge. the chip has two-way tape and sits on top the cartridge so all I had to do was remove the old and replace with the new. So for about $6 ..............NEW TONER. No need to refill the toner or buy a new one.

Technology is amazing--today I discovered that RE/Max has a site where your can view on a map of the entire United States to see where people are searching remax.com for listings & information on agents, communities, neighborhoods, schools, etc. Take a look if you're interested at: http://workingforyou.remax.com/.

Anyone have other sites that are really cool? Sometimes I think someone should put up a list of new sites or places of interest each day so that we can search to our heart's content and not have to Google every time we want information! Anyone up for that type of search?

One of the Best Kept Secrets in Holland, Ohio

I live in Holland, Ohio and have learned over the past 15 years that I have been here that one of my favorite places to visit is the Holland Branch Library which is part of Toledo Lucas County Public Library system.

The newest of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library branches, Holland Branch Library was built in 1984 to replace Bookmobile service at Strawberry Acres Park. In that time it has grown from once-a-week service to one of the top five branches in number of patrons and circulation.

The library recently installed new computers which are now in constant use by people of all ages. From young to old the Holland Branch Library is a great way to spend some time looking up information, getting a video or two, or involving you or your child in one of their many programs. One of my favorite things to do is to go online and find the newest best sellers and then request the library to let me know when my request has arrived at the library.

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library recently had to cut back on their staff and their hours due to budget cuts by the State of Ohio.

Short Sales and the Seller

I read an article in realtor.org that summed up what help as a real estate agent that I can give my seller. Here's what they recommend.

1--Work with your seller to see if (a) the seller may be able to sell and bring cash to the closing, (b) work out loan options with the seller (c) offer them a short sale or a deed in foreclosure.

2--Have your seller contact a HUD approved credit counseling agency--eg. HopeNow.com will help the seller determine whether the seller should (a) restructure the loan, (b) sell the home or (c) declare bankruptcy.

3--When listing the property the listing agent should declare in the Private Comments that the home is a short sale or that the home is in foreclosure.

4--Let the seller understand how long it may take to close on their home--from 30 days to 6 months. The lender may require more than one BPO (Broker Price Opinion) which will add to the time to close.

5--Find out whether the seller has a recourse loan (seller is responsible for any shortfall after the sale) or a non-recourse loan (lender cannot force seller to repay the shortfall).

NAR Reports on Record Streak in Pending Home Sales

On October 1, 2009, the National Association of Realtors® released this news release stating that "Record Streak Continues for Pending Home Sales"

In the article the NAR said that home sales have increased for seven straight months, the longest in the series of the index which began in 2001. In August, 2009 the index showed that contracts signed in August rose 6.4% to 103.8% from the previous reading in July.

However, as NAR's chief economist, Lawrence Yun, states that there is a problem that not all contracts will be able to close by the end of next month because of the long delays of short sales and the complex new appraisal rules. Here's is what he has to say to Robert Freedman of Realtor Magazine.

4th of July at Hidden Harbour in Holland, Ohio

4th of July at Hidden Harbour in Holland, Ohio does lots of fun things on the 4th of July and throughout the weekend. Hidden Harbour is located in Holland, Ohio which is just outside Toledo, Ohio and is near to Perrysburg, Maumee, Waterville, Swanton and Sylvania.

Hidden Harbour is located on a 50 acre fresh water lake and has a canal to a 5 acre lake also. Each year the residents who have boats (electric engines only allowed) decorate their boats and have a boat parade. This year approximately 40 boats were in the parade around the lake with water baloons, water guns, water propelled devices aimed at other boats and bystanders. It was a lot of fun too! Fireworks were provided by Springfield Township the Sunday before so the homeowners and condo owners could enjoy the sites either from their decks or on their boats.

Summer time at Hidden Harbour offers boating, fishing, swimming, kyaking, sailing, and anything else that iinvolves the water. Here is a picture of what the boat parade looked like on the 4th of July.

Have you ever looked at a map showing how big Springfield Township in Lucas County really is?

Springfield Township encompasses 21.6 miles and is located between Maumee and Sylvania Ohio. As of the year 2000 there were 24,123 people living in this area and has surely grown since that time.

What's great about living in this area? For me it's ease of getting around both here and around the Toledo, Ohio area. There are two really nice small parks in Springfield Township. The first is Strawberry Acres located at McCord and Angola. This park offers walking, picnicking, a children's playground, and has many trees that make it a great place to be when the summer gets warm. Also, just down Angola from there is Homecoming Park. This park offers many soccer fields, baseball fields, an open covered area for entertaining, and a pond at the back of the park. Right across from Homecoming Park is Hidden Harbour where I live. Hidden Harbour offers homes and condominiums--most of which are located on a 50 acre lake and a 5 acre lake with a canal in between. Also there is Moon Lake where all the homes are facing the lake.

Living in this area is great. Toledo Express Airport is just minutes away, Springfield Mall offers many top name stores, motels, a movie theater, Route 475 is a loop to I-75 and Route 23. We do have many trains that go in and out of this area but they generally move so fast it is not an inconvenience.

Living in Springfield Township (Holland, Ohio) in Lucas County

Have you ever looked at what area Springfield Township includes? I was amazed at how big Springfield Twp. is!

Living in Springfield Township (Holland, Ohio) offers parks that are great for walking, biking, picnicking, and children's playground activities such as Strawberry Acres located at McCord & Angola in the heart of the village of Holland, Ohio. There's also Homecoming Park just down the road (on Angola) from Strawberry Acres that offers many soccer field, baseball fields, a open pavilion for parties, and a lake at the back of the property.

In addition, there is Toledo Express Airport which takes just minutes to get to and is easily accessible from either Airport Highway or the Ohio Turnpike which has an exit right at the airport. We have lots of trains that go through this area but they (usually) are traveling so fast both going in and out that you are not inconvenienced by having to wait for a long time.

Spring is really almost here and in just a short time I will be telling you about how where I live at Hidden Harbour the boats are again being put in the water and more people are out and about. Living in this area is great. I love the diversity of the neighborhoods, the people, the ease of getting everywhere (and that includes the Toledo, Ohio area) and the friendliness of everyone I meet.

History of Holland, Ohio

For those of you who live in Holland, Ohio (as I have since 1994) you are aware of the planes, trains, and automobiles. Did you know how Holland got its name and the stories behind it naming?

Holland, Ohio is said to have gotten its name from two different stories. The first story is that in the 1850's people were digging canals to divert the swamp watter. These canals reminded the people of the canals of Holland. The other story is about Franklin Hall who was a local builder at that time. Franklin Hall, as the story goes, was platting some land for the building of homes when he asked the clerk, or official at that time, to record then as Hall Land. The official misunderstood and recorded the plats as Holland thus the name we have today.

In the 1850's the railroad built tracks between Toledo and Chicago which went through Holland, Ohio. By1880 Holland's population had grown to 230 people and the railroad's freight traffic increasing 20 times and the number of passengers increasing by 400%. The census of 2000 shows Holland to have a population of 1,306 people, 522 households, and 292 families residing in the Village of Holland.

Today Holland is known for Strawberry Acres Park and its walking trails and playground area. Holland along with Springfield Township are working to establish a Rail Parkto be located at Clarion and Front Streets at the Norfolk Southern tracks. Holland is a strong and vibrant community located near Toledo Express Airport, I-475, and the Ohio Turnpike.

'97 Cargo Van Rides Again! - Holland, Ohio by Linda Sabo

Would you believe that the owner of the '97 Ford E-250 Cargo Van e-mailed me and there's a lot more to this story than the Toledo Blade mentioned!

To bring you up to date--on 1/29/08 I posted a story about Holland, Ohio's Doug Schell's '97 Ford E-250 Cargo Van that is about to reach the 1 million mile mark on his odometer. In addition to the air conditioning that has not worked for the past five years he tells me the following really interesting facts about his van:

1-- He has completed all these miles without a cruise control!

2--This year he has hit two deer!

3--His road kills include a snake, a frog, a dog, a bat, squirrels and a bird or two.

4--His van has been in all but seven states these being: Washington, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska & Hawaii.

5--He has only broken down four times--that's amazing!

'97 Cargo Van - Holland Ohio by Linda Sabo

Did you see the story about a local Holland, Ohio man (Doug Schell) who has cargo van that is about to reach 1 million miles? Doug bought the used cargo van in 1996 with 40,000 miles on it. In the next few days he expects the odometer to reach 1 million miles which, according to Ford Motor Co., will have the highest odometer reading for any E0-250 in the country!

Doug works for Toledo's Bolt Express driving packages, auto parts, etc. from point-to-point across North America. Would you believe he changes his oil every 10,000 miles (one time he drove it 55,000 miles!), put in a new exhaust system when it was over 990,000 miles, and got 500,000 miles out of his first serpentine belt.

Not everything works on his cargo van --such as the air conditioning, which makes it a "huge sweat box" in the summer. His regular maintenance provider has records documenting the work on this van from the date of purchase.

Hidden Harbour at Christmas Time!

It's always beautiful in the summer time--looking out over the water, boating, swimming, and fishing. Now as our season changes we are experiencing the lake freezing up and preparing for winter. This past week we had a thin layer of ice as well as a little snow and freezing rain. About a month from now we will be ice skating, wind sailing and snow fishing. Christmas time at Hidden Harbour offers our once a year Christmas party--this year it will be at Stone Oak Country Club.
