First and foremost let me state that my favorite blog of all time is the Sellsius real estate blog, written by Joseph Ferrara; with that being said, I recently subscribed to another blog that I am truly enjoying written by Danny Brown. Danny has taken the "Follow Friday" theme from twitter and has breathed new life into it by spotlighting some truly awesome people on his very own blog site instead of his twitter page. Seth Simonds is one of the bloggers that I chose to follow from the list . Seth had a post appropriately titled "How To Start A Movement". My question is......can anyone do that? .........Am I doing that? .......By Seth's definition, I am! Project: Reality Real Estate has been a long time in the making. My team and I have had to overcome many hurdles to get to the point that we are at now. We never did give up though, even when many thought we were crazy. The team and I appreciate all the kind words and messages of encouragement that we have received from everyone. It truly does mean a lot to us to have all of you join us on this daring and exciting adventure. We don't know what the end result may be but we do hope that you too will be inspired to start your own movement....whatever that may be.

HomeGain and The Reality Realtor

Sarah Bandy, the New Jersey realtor who invented "reality real estate" TV, is ready to reveal the latest twist in her quest to net $1 million in sales commissions in one year's time.

Bandy originally based her campaign on bestselling author Gary Keller's book "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent", which lays out a step by step plan to generate one million dollars of revenue in a 52-week time span.

She is documenting her activities on a professionally produced weekly documentary, which can be viewed at www.sarahbandy.com, and promoting her documentary via social media marketing.

And this Monday, she is taking it up a notch, by pitting the MREA method against a company called HomeGain, who will be delivering qualified real estate leads to Bandy every month.

"The Bandy Group is set to simultaneously test both the Keller product against the HomeGain product to see who will reach the million dollar goal first" Bandy explained. "The team will be divided in half so that there is no cross contamination as to who is working on what and where the leads came from"

The MREA method that The Bandy Group chose to follow involves sending out 16,000 direct mail pieces per month to a carefully selected geographic and demographic list of individuals.

Homegain, whose company can be found online at http://www.homegain.com/agent/realestateagent?entryid=11301 , has a proprietary system called "Buyerlink", in which they send targeted internet leads to realtors.

Homegain will be introduced in the latest episode of the documentary series, on Monday.

On June 17th the Grange Showroom in New York City was transformed from a design house into a fun festive summer retreat appropriately titled "Summer In The City".

New York Spaces Magazine and The New York Design Center, the hosts for the evening, invited many including The Bandy Group to celebrate the beginningof summer with....dancing, cocktails and hors-d'oeuvres.

Talk about a superb networking event. We got to meet some very interesting people and you just might see one or two on a future episode of Reality Real Estate....keep your eyes peeled for that.

Sarah Bandy, a successful realtor, entrepreneur and president of The Bandy Group, is introducing a new concept in reality TV.
Bandy will be the star of Project: Reality Realtor, a weekly "fly on the wall" documentary-style show which chronicles her ambitious new real estate campaign aimed at netting $1 million dollars in one year's time.
Each week viewers will be able to tune in at www.SarahBandy.com to learn her methods, celebrate her successes, and follow every step of the way on her daring and exciting new journey.
The show will also be promoted using "Web 2.0" methods, including Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.
The campaign is inspired by bestselling author Gary Keller's book "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent".

Gary Keller's research and experience have taught Bandy that for every 50 people you market yourself to 12 times a year, you can reasonably expect to generate 1 sale.
Using this formula, you will therefore need 16,000 contacts in your ‘haven't met' database to generate 320 sale per year there by reaching the goal of netting $1 million dollars; based upon a $250,000.00 average home sale price.

In addition to watching Bandy's show, viewers will also be able to interact and ask questions or make comments via Bandy's website. "This type of activity cannot be scripted and provides a more homegrown, grass roots marketing approach," according to Bandy.

Colts Neck Beauty.......Not!

I was out to dinner the other night with a few of my girlfriends when our attention turned to the beautiful women whom was engaged in some heavy(PDA) public displays of affection with a man that many would say was NOT attractive.

Surely a woman of her stature would date an Adonis type male.

I had to explain to the ladies that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

There are many reasons why we may be attracted to the opposite sex.

Who are we to say what the definition of beauty is?

Same holds true in the Real Estate world.

One of my clients recently asked me why the house down the street sold prior to her home selling?

To her surprise, the house down the street was not as beautiful as hers in her opinion and more expensive.

Although I agreed with her, unfortunately, beauty is not ours to define for others.

To that particular buyer, the worn down home has something that sparks their interest beyond physical beauty. The inside may be more important than the outside.

Now when I hear a seller wanting to up the price because they feel their home is better, nicer or more beautiful than those listed, I quickly tell the story of the not so attractive man.

Honestly, nothing beats a dose of humility and some good CMA's.

Red Bank Is Rocking!

What to do when you get the itch to have New York City style food and fun but you don't feel like trekking into the city?? Well, look no further than Teak, located in Red Bank New Jersey.

Although Teak is known for its Asian Flair, last Friday night it was transformed into a Latin house complete with an amazing Salsa band.

Of course you never know who you will bump into while on the dance floor.

It's always fun to see other real estate agents as well as clients out enjoying the town too.

If you missed last weeks party, don't fret. Teak has Merengue dancing on the second Friday of each month.

With the opening of the new Better Homes in Red Bank division about to make its debut, I get a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of me around town.

Where in the world is Sarah Bandy again??

Well technically I'm back from vacation but I just wanted to share some photos of my trip to Mexico.

I really had a wonderful time in Cancun and the hotel as well as the staff at The Hyatt Cancun Caribe were wonderful.

Another reason why I think it is fantastic to live in Colts Neck is the close proximity to all major airports.

Newark International Airport is approximately a 35 minute drive from Colts Neck, allowing easy access to the destination of your dreams.

After five relaxing days and a renewed spirit, I am back and ready to conquer the real estate market.

Colts Neck Business Card Exchange: The Morning After

Last night's business card exchange was a HUGE success.

The Colts Neck Business Association together with Carmine, owner of Rosalia's Italian Market welcomed an overwhelming amount of business owners to this fun filled event.

It was delightful to meet so many individuals that are not only experts in their field but are also passionate about their profession.

Many stood out in the crowd and I appreciate all the new friends and meaningful conversations that transpired throughout the evening.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed music performed by Bullet Bob of The Colts Neck Custom Shop and song writer Joe Iantoska.

I feel honored to have received a private serenade by Joe and to have been moved by his original and touching love songs.

Thank you for that "Joe", your wife is a very lucky woman.

CNBA meets the second Wednesday morning of each month at the Colts Neck library.
