In the Atlanta area we use the Supra lock box system. I use, the now antiquated, Treo 650 so I never forget my phone, camera or lock box key. The Palm and Blackberry products (with the help of a key fob) will open Supra boxes and release the shackle.

I was at a tech fair we had back in the Summer and spoke with someone from Supra and they said an iPhone application was in the works. With great difficulty I got through to someone at Supra to check on the status. They said they have heard that it is being worked on. Can one of you tech gurus out there please make yourself a million dollars and develop something. I want to hear "there is an app for that"!!

If you live in the Roswell area you know that there is a lot of history here. Settled by Roswell King and others during the ending days of the Cherokee Nation and the height of the first GOLD Rush. There was actually at US Mint in Dahlonega for awhile. Invaded during the "War Between the State". (That's what we call the Civil War down here.) All the way up to its links to the Roosevelt presidential family. Well local historians are still researching our history and continue to bring it to life with lectures and at the many historic sights in the area.

Autry Township is a new Centex community off Old Alabama just east of Jones Bridge Road. It is a gated swim only community of 68 homes. There are 17 slab and 51 basement homes. All homes feature brick front. Base prices range from $344900 to $373900 with lot premiums of $5000-$25000. There are five floor plans to choose from with two master on the main plans.

Last Tuesdays elections in Roswell, Alpharetta and Milton have probably put an end to any large-scale development in the area. Every anti development candidate won election against, at least one case, a well connected and long time city council member. This could mean higher taxes and less help from the state and federal government for transportation dollars and Marta rapid transit, which we might have gotten if higher density were part of the picture.

The voters have chosen. Now the developers will have to make a choice whether they can design projects that will align with what the- voters want. The area will still be developed around us and the infrastructure will still need grow. In Roswell the East side voters really came to the poles to crush the $2.1 billion proposed multi use development along GA 400. The West side vote, though heavier than normal for a non-mayoral election, was only about half the turn out as the East side. Time will tell if the quality of life will remain the same, improve or decline as the tax burden shift more and more to the homeowners.
