When we first moved to Las Vegas Nevada we ran into this very fat looking man and when I first saw him I thought who is he?

He has been around for a very long time and there are shiny rub marks on his belly from tourists rubbing his belly.

Can you tell me who he is?

What he represents?

And where this fat man is located in Las Vegas Nevada

I think he is quite valuble because he is made of brass.

I captured these lights driving home from my latest visit to Lake Mead standing at Sunrise Mountain and these lights are always present whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving Day or any holiday for that matter!

Seeing the lights of Las Vegas are much better in person than a photograph.

I would like to say "Good Night" from Las Vegas and I will be focusing most of my posts on Las Vegas for the next month and my other posts will be about being "Happy" because this is the season to be "Merry!"

A very disappointing post from Las Vegas Nevada by Vegas Bob (Please help save some trees)!

Please take a close look at this photograph that I took straight across from the (New) MGM City Center that will be opening in several weeks.

My wife and I took a walk down the new bridges at "City Center" and as we came down the escalator this is what we saw all over the streets.

When tourists come to visit Las Vegas Nevada this is one of the number one complaints we get from them, people handing out these nasty cards for "Strip Clubs" and night clubs.

People want to blame it on the individuals making minimum wake without green cards or work permits handing out these cards. But you need to blame yourselves for taking them, looking at them and then throwing them on the sidewalks.

Come on people let's try and save some trees and please don't take these cards with discounts to "Strip Clubs" that really aren't a discount at all. Not only that but the girls you see on these cards are not even in these clubs, there just models.

Here is a blow up of some of the cards that tourists are throwing all over the streets of Las Vegas Blvd and (Shame on you)!

Vegas Bob runs into "Devil Woman" and you will never guess what she has to say?

I was on Las Vegas Blvd in Las Vegas Nevada several days ago and I ran into "Devil Woman" and she did frighten men a little.

I have given her the name "Lucy of Lust" and she stands around 30 feet tall and looks over "The Strip" Las Vegas Blvd.

Can you tell me where "Lucy" stands on Las Vegas Blvd?

And what do you think she told me when I ran into her?

I spent several hours photographing MGM City Center on Black Friday 11-27-2009 and it was the third day in a row that I went down to try and satisfy my needs as a professional photographer.

I have captured a set of photographs that are truly amazing and at least half of my pics will not be posted because I will be sending them to the Architects that created MGM City Center before they are posted over the world wide web.

These photographs on this post really show how LasVegas is stepping into the future of building structures and I am very impressed once again with these photographs and I hope you like them!

This is a shot looking up into a curved wall at The Harmon Building and there was no trick photography used in any of these photographs on this post.

The photo above is a stairway going from Las Vegas Blvd to The Harmon Building.

The photo above is the corner of The Crystal shopping building on Las Vegas Blvd that will opening December 3-4 2009.

This photograph above was taken looking straight up through the middle of one of the Vere Towers and on the left is The Mandarin Building.

I was down on Las Vegas Blvd taking photographs of MGM City Center and I ran across these Romantic Statues that really caught my eye. They are in front of one of the older hotels in Las Vegas Nevada and I will give you one clue, the hotel is next to the New York - New York Hotel.

Can you guess which one and where do you think this man might be is carrying this lady?

UFO flys by "City Center" down Las Vegas Blvd to take a look before the opening date!

MGM City Center opened the walk way bridges to walk around and get a closer look at the biggest project to ever hit Las Vegas Nevada.

As I was going up the escalator this huge bright light came screaming right down Las Vegas Blvd having a look before the Grand Opening which is set for December 16 - 2009

By looking at some of the building structures around "City Center" might think the beings from another planet had something to do with the design of these buildings, take a look at the strange looking buildings attached to this post!

The buildings to the very right of this photograph (above) are "The Cosmopolitan" which is a different project than "City Center" and everything in the middle towards the left is City Center.

The "Harmon" Building is a project that I have been working on for over 6 months, with the blue glass and it is a very unique build with curves and checkered glass panels.

There are going to be several different posts on MGM City Center because I took so many photographs. I will be posting my story with more photographs as I actually walked the bridges and walk ways so stay tuned for (Parts 2-3-4) on MGM City Center.

"That sure is a skinny looking Turkey"

On my visit to Lake Mead last weekend I captured this really skinny Turkey flying around, but I am not sure if it's a Turkey or what it might be.

The sun was setting so the pics are little dark and I used a 135 mm lens to get these wonderful shots and reflections.

I know that this bird is not a Turkey but I thought it was a great way to catch the attention of my friends at Activerain, I am not really sure what kind of bird this is.

And I would like to wish everyone a wonderful safe Thanksgiving and please don't ................

I have always enjoyed "Thanksgiving" because of the wide variety of foods that are prepared, of all these foods what is your favorite dish?

I really light dark meat with some mashed potatoes and gravy, and as for desert I enjoy a slice of homemade pumpkin or pecan pie with small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Why are some people waiting to purchase a home?

There are some people that have a chance to purchase a home but continue to wait. These people have been approved by a lender, have looked at some homes and have a idea of what their looking for.

Some of these people think that there is going to be another flood of homes this winter and some homeowners are going to lose their jobs and their homes will go into for-closer.

What is your opinion?

Is is a good idea to wait to purchase a home?

Have you ever been to "Lake Mead" in Nevada?

If you have ever been to Lake Mead in Nevada only 30 minutes from Las Vegas you will be able to relate to this post. And if you never have been to Lake Mead it is a (Must See), I was there Sunday afternoon taking some photographs and it was about 80 degrees out by the lake and it was beautiful.

Here are some stats on Lake Mead below and several photographs I took, I will be posting another story with some very unusual photographs I captured while experimenting with my camera.

Encompassing 1.5 million acres, Lake Mead National Recreation Area features two large reservoirs, Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. Lake Mead, the larger of the two lakes, covers approximately 247 square miles and boasts 550 miles of shoreline.

Attracting nearly eight million visitors annually, Lake Mead is a popular spot for boating, water-skiing, swimming, and fishing. Its surrounding desert is home to rock formations and diverse flora and fauna, which reward hikers and photographers.

Originally called Boulder Dam Recreation Area, the park's name honors Dr. Elwood Mead, the U.S. Reclamation Commissioner between 1924 and 1936. The Alan Bible Visitor Center, located four miles east of Boulder City, provides visitors pertinent information about the recreation area. It also displays interactive, hands-on exhibits that help visitors discover the Mojave Desert.

Located approximately 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, the recreation area boasts eight marinas, which offer boat and house boat rentals. The park is also home to eight campgrounds and five RV campgrounds with hookups.

Operating Hours & Seasons:
Open year round, 24 hours a day. The visitor center is open daily, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Admission: $5 per vehicle

These photographs were taken when the sun was setting and if you look real close you can see a couple figures of people and look how small they are compared to a very, very small part of Lake Mead.

Lake Mead is so big and beautiful that it is a photographers haven and you could go down to Lake Mead day after day, week end after week end and never run out of different scenes to photograph.

Another weekend off and I am very excited about getting out of the city, breathing some fresh air,taking some beautiful photographs like the ones on this post, writing some pages for my new book and relaxing my body & soul with some natural meditation.

All of us live in different areas of Natural beauty that God has created for us. For me Nature and Beauty are my "Happiness" and that is why I continue to post with photographs.

I post photographs about different places to show possible reasons people may want to relocate or move to these areas.

As everyone knows my favorite areas of beauty are Northern California, Alaska, Oregon,Washington State, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico and more.

I have already planned a very serious vacation overseas in countries like New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and China and I will have around three different cameras in hand.

With (Patience) Dreams & Visions Do Come True for Robert Swetz ............

Seven years ago I had a very strange Dream that formed into a Vision that has been bothering me. It will continue to bother me until I get this Vision out which is why I am writing a book about this Dream/ Vision.

I started working on this book in the beginning of 2009 and posted a blog at Activerain searching for someone to help me write this book. Well around 5 months ago someone from Activerain came forward to help me write this book and get my story out.

We do live in a very small world not only did I find some one from Activerain to help me with my book, this person is from Las Vegas Nevada .............. (Bonus)!

She is my (Mystery) Ghost writer, oops you didn't hear that from me.

I received a phone call from her today and she had some great news to tell me. My book is still in a early enough stage to be written into such a way that it would be easy to make into a movie.

Well, she has some friends in the movie business and I will be meeting with them next week to go over my book with them. One of her friends is going to help us format my book into script form so it will not have to be re-written if I decide to make a movie, which in turn will save me so much money.

My friend also mentioned to me that she has friends in Hollywood that direct & produce independent movies and they also want to speak with me in the later stages of the book.

I am very excited about what is going to be taking place in my life!

And years ago when I was growing up I was always so impatient, if I couldn't have it today I didn't want it. When I started projects, ideas, careers, etc., in my life and if I couldn't make it happen in a very short time I would throw it aside and move on.

My patience is really starting to pay off and I would like to personally thank the Activerain Network for helping bring this person helping me with my book, and I will be revealing who this person is when they are ready.

I hope this post can help and encourage others to please be patient with everything they do because I have and it is a (Dream Come True)!

I would like to dedicate this post to all the (Children) of the world that have been sexually abused because this book is all about you and you need to be heard!

I am not sure if this Neon Light came from one of the Casinos in Las Vegas Nevada and placed down on Fremont Street but this light is (Beautiful), tall and stands on Fremont Street & Las Vegas Blvd (Down town).

Can anyone tell me what these two masks (below) stand for?

So if you ever decide to visit Las Vegas and you have never been downtown please make a trip down there and really get a feel for where it all started.

This is a sign of a Famous Steak House that has been gone for some time now!

I would like to wish everyone a good morning to you and as we get closer to the end on November 2009, and where did the year go?

When ever we get towards the end of the year we think back to the begining as a whole on our ups & downs, and what we can do to change coming into the new year.

Let's think positive and try to create a good start in the next year to come!

Vegas Bob (plugs) Sax player "Carl Ferris" in Downtown Las Vegas Nevada at "The Fremont Street Experience"

If you have ever had the chance to hear and see "Carl Ferris" at "The Fremont Street Experience" in Downtown Las Vegas you are a very "Lucky" person!

This man is amazing and in my book underrated, his sax playing carries along the Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas like you have never heard before.

By the time Carl is finished jamming down on his Saxophone's there will be a "Huge" crowd of people around him just digging his sound.
