Military Veteran

Hi! First time blogger here.

I am a 12 year Veteran of the United States Navy. I served in two wars (Operation Desert Storm/Shield and Iraqi Freedom) and have been stationed all over the place. My experiences in the Navy have also lead me to a career of service in the Real Estate profession. I desire to share with all military active, retired or prior service the benefits of owning a home and not just renting. Also, to assist military families with the sale of their home especially when they are under orders and are transferring to another place. Most of the time, that means leaving the family behind to take care of selling their home or making arrangements to rent it out while they are gone. Either way, I would like to help guide them in the right direction.

There are many things I wished the Navy would have taught me when I was active duty, most of which was how important it is to spend the money you make wisely, and not blow it on whatever you want. When I think back to all the money I spent...I could have purchased at least one piece of property when I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia....but, there was no one there to council me on the benefits of home ownership.

Well anyway, now I am here to assist today's sailor, soldier or marine. If you know someone living in Ventura County that is paying $1,400 or more in rent, have them call me to discuss owning. Who knows, they could be providing their shipmates with a place to live too!

For those of you who have active duty family members, I'm praying for their safe and quick return, but mostly I pray thanking GOD for giving us the courage to volunteer to serve and protect this great country!

Tammy
