      <title>Government Bailout? Slippery Slope!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Why is the government planning on bailing out the banking industry? What does this mean to the in terms of becoming a&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;nanny state? This is the beginning of the banks being taken over by the government. Why should the government be expected to pick up the pieces of a fractured mortgage industry.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/strong&gt;Why is it that there is the lament about the lack of affordable housing yet when there is a downturn in the market which brings down home prices we say that the sky is falling?&amp;nbsp; Don&amp;#39;t we want homes to be more affordable? This shakeout was inevitable, the market has spoken. Trying to manipulate it will make things worse all around.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is a rant, I am really concerned about the government taking too active a role&amp;nbsp; in picking up the pieces for big business.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Had To Get It Off My Chest,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tara&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;P. That agent &amp;nbsp;knows that eventually you&amp;#39;ll have to lower the price and will just wait you out.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Your home will sit on the market and become stale.&lt;/strong&gt; People will start wondering whats wrong with the home when they see how long its been on the market. If&amp;nbsp;by chance&amp;nbsp;you do get someone to put in an offer on the home for asking price, &lt;strong&gt;it still has to appraise for that price. &lt;/strong&gt;The appraisal comes back showing that the home is only worth 80% of&amp;nbsp; the purchase price. What happens then is that the buyer would have to come up with the extra 20% of the purchase price in cash&amp;nbsp;or walk away from the deal. It&amp;#39;s a no-win situation all the way around and can cause&amp;nbsp;great stress for you and your family.
