The advantages are that your name would already be recognized with say a Remax or a century 21 franchise. However is the cost of that name to much? Will the name really help you or would John Does Real Estate work just as well? Franchise Disadvantages are mainly the cost. does anyone know what the big dogs charge for a franchise?

Your logo is already done for you, most of your marketing materials are already there, and most importantly your new company name is already out there.

I recently wrote a blog post on the So called Free Credit Reports and wanted to follow up. The Free Credit report sites want you to enroll in a credit monitoring service to get your free credit report. This usually runs around 12.95 to 39.95 per month. I think that they are misleading consumers and being sneaky about calling something free when it really isn't, although I don't think credit monitoring is a bad thing.Credit Monitoring is a great way to wort off Identity Theft. In fact I have found a great one from my favorite store. If you are a member, you can sign up for Costco credit Reports and monitoring.

It is 7.49 a month for executive members (I upgraded to an executive membership when I bought my new TV because just with that purchase the 2% cash back paid for the upgrade) and 9.49 per month for a regular member. I have to say that I am really pleased with the service. It has credit analysers and simulators that are almost as good as my Mortgage company credit vendors.It also allows you to pull a new report every month! at 7.50 a month that is less that what it cost me as a broker to pull credit. Maybe cost-co should come up with a commercial credit vendor for brokers?
