Key West Real Estate is heating up. Don't believe all the doom and gloom of the naysayers out there. This past week I have personally been involved in 2 properties where multiple offers were presented. This reminds me of the good old days and I think is a great sign of recovery. Never mind that June is supposed to be a slow month in Key West Real Estate. I think what we are seeing is pent up demand that is finally being unleashed. What a great month October has been for Key West Real Estate and for Rudy Molinet and Harry Hoehn's customers at Marquis Properties Realty! We started the month by putting 631 Southard Street under contract. The property had only been listed for 66 days in the dead of summer and we received an all cash offer close to the asking price of $1,895,000. Several years ago there was a book entitled: "The Inmates Are Running The Asylum" The author opined on why high tech products drive us crazy and how to restore sanity in business practices. The book uses the author's experiences in corporate America to illustrate how talented people continuously design bad software-based products and why we need technology to work the way average people think. I recently listed a really nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Truman Annex. Truman Annex is the premier gated community in Old Town Key West. This house is an exquisite renovation. My favorite room is the kitchen/great room that overlooks the pool. When you are seated there eating breakfast you know that this is truly paradise! The pool is gorgeous and the landscaping has been perfected with coconut palms, tropicals and lush ferns. I was reading an article today on line about Cuba and all the speculation of what will happen when Cuba opens up to the US. This will be a great opportunity for Key West to act as a sister city and bridge to our Island neighbor. I think that improved relations with Cuba will help Key West Real Estate.
