kindness platinum golden rule getting along: The Platinum Rule - 08/09/11 02:46 PM

Have you ever heard of The Platinum Rule? We all know the Golden Rule talks about treating others the way we would want to be treated but the Platinum Rule discusses treating others the way they would want to be treated. I have a hard time with this one and I will explain.
A classic example I can think of are folks who say they are "private" people. I know those who would prefer not to know their neighbors in their subdivision. They figure, "you stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours." Fair enough. I hope … (4 comments)
