Did you know that I.S.34 is the only intermediate school on Staten Island whose building at 528 Academy Avenue was once another school? For 36 years, our building was Tottenville High School which in 1972 moved to its new site in Huguenot. Tottenville High School was erected in 1935 and 1936 during the era known as The Great Depression and is the sister school of the old New Dorp High School, (now Staten Island Tech.) Prince's Bay's LEMON CREEK PARK, Staten Island, NY - 01/07/11 12:56 PM
Lemon Creek, which empties into Prince's Bay, has been known by several names over the last few hundred years. In 1830, the freshwater stream was known as Seguine's Creek, and later, as the Little North River in 1895. Shortly thereafter, the name of Lemon Creek began to appear on maps, and it has remained, although the origin of this unusual name is not known. Lemon Creek is fed from a watershed that begins two-and-one-half miles from the creek. The main source is a small freshwater pond near Woodrow Road, known as Porzio's Pond. The water travels over and under ground to Lemon (1 comments)

It is nearly bisected by Maguire Avenue, but the avenue's two spurs into the park from the north and south do not meet in the middle. Beginning in February 2003 15 acres (6.1 ha) of park were renovated and upgraded with the addition of sports fields, walking (0 comments)
Prince's Bay is the name of a neighborhood located on the South Shore of New York City's borough of Staten Island and of an arm of Raritan Bay (which in turn is part of the Atlantic Ocean), on which the eastern shoreline of the community is situated. The neighborhood's name is often misreckoned as "Princess Bay" or "Prince Bay;" indeed, the community's United States Post Office officially bears the name "Princes Bay Station" according to the USPS website and directory. Development in the area accelerated when the southern terminus of the Staten Island Railway was moved from Eltingville to Tottenville (1 comments)
