Saturday, Jan 31 and Sunday Feb 1, offer all of you a chance to "free your heels!" Yes we know it's Superbowl weekend and we intend to be in front of the flat screen too!!  Registration for Telepalooza starts at 8:00 in the Main Ski Lodge (look for the banner) and there's rental and share gear available for you to try telemark skiing.  Plenty of time to give a whole new deminsion to the slopes, trails, and woods and be back in time for kick off!!!

Kicking off 2009 winterfest activities in the Laurel Highlands is KDKA-TV with their sister station Pittsburgh's CW and Hidden Valley. Beginning TODAY you'll find January 23 through February 1, jammed packed with games, contests, activities, food, and fun!  
KDKA has video coverage posted and Hidden Valley has the line up of events posted on their site. This marks the first of an annual celebration and the weather is going to be AWESOME!! Bring the family and friends and give it a try!

You exit at 91 off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and make a left (like you are headed to either RESORT) it will be on the right about 1.3 miles down. They have just about everything you walked out of the house and forgot to pack!! Munchies, soda, toothbrushes, clothing, even auto supplies!

Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger. He's the pilot of the ditched US Air plane, flight on Thursday January 15, 2009 that ended up in the Hudson River. Wouldn't we all love to have some one of his expertise, training, experience, and commitment flying the plane we are on!! In fact wouldn't we all consider paying a little extra if we knew that the person sitting in that seat had his qualities?

Fire and Ice Festival Begins TODAY! - 01/16/09 12:35 PM
Even though it's only a three day event the frigid air temperatures will guarantee that the ice carvings are going to last at least two weeks!! We're braving Mother Nature and headed for a Chamber Mixer at Crazy Alice's Catering before we check out the carvings! They serve breakfast and lunch which you can enjoy dinning in or taking out (101 West Main St, Glades Court Mall, Somerset). We'll be posting some of those ice carvings for your enjoyment tomorrow so check back.

BEFORE we go any further know that the "GOOD NEWS STATISTICS" that we are about to share are calculated by adding ALL transfers together from MLS and Court House records. There IS a significant difference if you focus on any one style of property. Call us for more details!  SO here goes, BOTH RESORT MARKETS SAW APPRECIATION AND AN INCREASE IN THEIR AVERAGE SELLING PRICE! Hummmm, stocks vs real estate??
