I hope everyone’s holiday season was a safe and happy one!
Santa was good to me this year, as I am now the new owner of an AT&T Blackberry Curve- in red of course, as a proud Rutgers University Alum. After using it to find my way to the office via Google Maps, and taking more pictures of my terrier mix (George) than anyone outside of my family would ever be willing to look at, I’m beginning to wonder how I ever managed to live without it.
One of the most exciting things about having my new Blackberry- aside from being able to check Facebook every hour - on the hour- is that Smarter Agent’s Homes for Sale is a FREE download! I decided to download the application to show my family and friends the mobile real estate search when I saw them throughout the holiday week. Of course I already have the application on my company phone, a Sprint Motorola RAZR, but what better way to disguise fishing for compliments on my new toy?
Needless to say, my friends were impressed with the phone- as well as the application. They couldn’t believe how crystal clear the pictures of the homes looked on the big Blackberry screen, and they especially loved the mapping feature.
As young professionals, my friends and I are getting to the age where we are starting to think about settling down and buying our own homes. I frequently tell the agents I work with that Smarter Agent’s Homes for Sale is a fantastic tool for the first time home-buyer; someone like myself who doesn’t let her phone out of her sight for more than two minutes without experiencing severe separation anxiety. (What if I’m in a car accident and I can’t call the police?? What if my apartment is on fire and the neighbors can’t get in touch with me?? What if Heidi and Spencer from The Hills break up and I can’t text my friends for all the details?? )
My generation uses cell phones to do everything from sending emails and instant messages, to listening to music and catching up on the latest world news and celebrity gossip. Why shouldn’t it be the first place we go to look for a new home? I think I can safely speak for my peers when I say that looking into buying a first home can be a potentially intimidating venture. Any agent that can give us a tool to accomplish this task using our cell phone - a medium that we’ve grown up with and are comfortable using - can put us at ease and is definitely someone we will want to work with.

Isn't he handsome?
(I also have pictures of him by the front window, by the back window, sitting under the Christmas tree, sleeping in his bed, chewing on my new BCBG snake skin heels...)
P.S. I'm new on Twitter! @SA_Michelle
