Finally, it's my turn to say it! And I'm about to get my second.
And it cost me $0. Just time and effort and creativity. That works for me in today's economy.
Active Rain has helped me to position myself in the communities that I wish to work in and the neighborhoods I know the most about. The clients are finding me and the agents who need to send clients are finding me.
I am not invisible.
My strengths shine through.

Sharing what we know with each other. I liked it right away. With over 104,000 members, a lot of people like it.
It fits the way I practice real estate. One of the comments I get from the other agents in my office is, "Thanks for sharing - that's so nice of you," because we are in competition with each other and this is a shift in the old paradigm of every man for himself. Made me think...I love blogging, I love real estate, I love helping people...but spending too much time searching for houses, generating reports, emails, blogs, yada, yada, yada...
Suddenly I realize - I am missing life!! Or at least a chunk of it. Or merely living vicariously...should I mention the addiction word that is thrown out so freely about bloggers and computer afficionados???
