If you follow this blog, you have seen reports of a recovering United States real estate market. It has been widely confirmed and is apparent in many areas. The market seems more active and healthier, with no signs of going backwards.
I found the article at the link below posted online earlier today by the Union Tribune San Diego. Although it shares views about the increasing health of San Diego real estate, it also includes information about other areas of the country, including Phoenix, … (1 comments)

california: An Increase in Buyers is Changing the Real Estate Market - 1.20.2012 - 01/20/13 01:23 PM

Buying patterns impact any market.
As I have posted in previous blogs, the real estate market looks different from last year. In most cases, healthier. Today I found a Union Tribune San Diego article that further confirms this sentiment. The article includes one report of their being twice as many buyers this month, than in January of last year.
Regardless of the industry, it always comes down to supply and demand. The number of buyers and their activity level determine the price and the health of a particular market.

Much like a Monopoly game, the real estate market is not 100% predictable.

I am continuing my theme of exploring perspectives of the new year and what is in store for the real estate market in 2013. Many predictions have been shared, but it seems that there isn’t too much disagreement among experts. Prices are on the rise and the market is healthier than it has been in years.
The article I am sharing today includes a compilation of ten real estate market trends to pay attention to in 2013. Although it supports opinions reported on other … (2 comments)

Southern California real estate prices may soar sky high in 2013, according to some experts.

Each day that I write a blog post for private lender Source Capital, I research to see what’s new in real estate. As I find and share 2013 predictions for the Arizona and California real estate markets, what I have found is the seemingly growing opinion that prices will rise, and rise significantly.

For those that have been waiting to buy, you may be in for a surprise when the time comes. Although still largely being referred to as a buyer’s market, I just read a Forbes article suggesting that in 2013, it will actually be a seller’s market in some areas. That is the first time I have read an article talking about our real estate market swaying to the side of the seller, since I started writing this blog in January of 2012. Times are changing!
So, as I have said before, if you have the means, now is the time to … (1 comments)

california: Malibu, California's Luxury Real Estate Market Improved - 12.29.2012 - 12/29/12 10:21 AM

The beauty that is Malibu, California.
2012 has provided many signs of improvement in our economy and the United States’ real estate market. One seems to effect and reflect the status of the other. The price increase on properties in many areas indicates a decrease in supply, which as I have discussed previously is due not only to more sales, but also less foreclosures. Still remaining, is the demand of buyers wanting to purchase. The changing state of supply and demand is causing obvious changes in property prices.
The luxury real estate market in Malibu, California is one area … (0 comments)

california: Real Estate Price Increases Predicted for 2013 - 12.26.2012 - 12/26/12 01:32 PM

Remember when gas prices were this low? One day we'll be saying that about house prices.
Now that we are just days away from the new year, I feel it is time for some reflection and some predictions. The real estate market seemed to be ever changing throughout 2012. Although there are no guarantees of what the new year will bring, according to a CNBC.com article I found on Yahoo! Homes, you can expect prices to rise. Perhaps as much as five to seven percent from 2012. That is quite a jump!

california: Celebrities Active in the Real Estate Market - 12.23.2012 - 12/23/12 03:05 PM

Rock stars need a place to call home too.

Have you seen those sections of entertainment magazines that include photos of celebrities buying groceries, taking their kids to school and walking their dogs with statements confirming that they are just like us? Well, here’s another item to add to the list of how celebrities are like us non-celebrities. They buy and sell homes too!
Because of how they are portrayed in the media, sometimes we forget that celebrities are going through every day life happenings, similar to our experiences. Some mundane, some joyous and some stressful. Often their every … (0 comments)

One place we see the state of our economy is at the pump! Will 2013 be different from this year?

This is a busy time of year for most people. Following the holiday season, we will venture into a new year. I find the end of any year to be a contemplative time. california: Location, Location, Relocation to Arizona or California - 12.18.2012 - 12/18/12 03:36 PM

We've all been there.
I just moved from one location to another. As we all know, it is a huge job! No matter how much time we spend getting organized and preparing for the big day, or as in my case, days, it seems to always take longer than anticipated.
In addition to packing, packing and more packing you need to communicate with the post office to ensure your mail will still be received, change your address on your driver’s license, contact anyone who sends you mail, whether creditors, friends or family, start and stop cable, internet and any … (1 comments)

california: San Francisco Housing Sales and Prices Up From Last Year - 12.14.2012 - 12/14/12 06:11 AM

The San Francisco housing market is healthier this year!

We’ve been having cooler weather in San Diego this week. It has included overcast skies and rain. Not typical San Diego misting or light showers that last for a few minutes and are gone. Instead more thorough pours, as seen more typically in San Francisco and other areas of northern California.
As I have mentioned before in this blog, because of my preference of cooler weather, some have suggested I move to the Bay Area. I’m not sure if I ever will or not, but I do like the … (0 comments)

california: Real Estate Education Available at University of San Diego - 12-12-12 - 12/12/12 02:30 PM

Sunny beaches near by the University of San Diego.

I live in San Diego County. Although it is where I have lived for over five years, I am still learning about things that are available here. Today I discovered that at the University of San Diego there is an education center for those interested in getting involved in the professional side of real estate.
According to the UCSD website, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate was founded in 1993. Find out more about the center at the link below.

california: Learn About Real Estate Predictions for 2013 - 12.10.2012 - 12/10/12 04:29 PM
Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of the year. We are about to leave 2012 behind and venture into 2013. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to find out what experts are predicting for the real estate market in 2013. We have already started to see improvements in some areas. Will that trend continue?
I found a website that includes predictions for Arizona and California. These are the two states that hard money lender, Source Capital offers services. This includes private money loans and private real estate investment opportunities.
