I find it distressing that the misfortune of families who have lost their homes to foreclosure trickles down to other homeowners in those neighborhoods. Statistics indicate that where there are a large number of vacant homes crimes are on the rise. From break-ins, drug dealing and vagrants using the properties for (2 comments)

Our local newspaper recently had an article regarding the proliferation in self-storage areas in our county as well as nationwide. Figures were included which noted that storage facilities had gross revenues in 2006 of $22.6 billion! In a recent sales meeting one of our female REALTORS noted her reticence to hold open houses alone and some trepidation in showing property to strangers. I simply cannot accept that mindset and can only operate my real estate career in a similar fashion as the rest of my life: (a) (8 comments)
