staging: Do Staging and Professional Photography Matter? Yes! They Do! - 12/09/12 12:30 PM
With my seller kicking and screaming the whole way, I finished the professional photography session on a new listing awhile ago, immediately after the stager finished her magic.
Since the seller already had furniture (funky and outdated), the cost of staging was a tough sell. So was swapping out the light fixtures that the stager suggested.
"I think these new light fixtures are ugly", Mr. Seller said.
"Hold on until you see the whole shebang", I said.  "The stager has a plan". Eventually, the seller invested about $2500 in staging, plus $400 in new lighting fixtures.

What does "Yo Mama" have to do with preparing your home for sale? Plenty. Take a look at the following video to find out what! (And don't ask me why Youtube selected this most attractive frame to put as the lead-in!) So check out your home from the eyes of a buyer. Do you have a montage of photos on your hallway that will trap the buyer's attention? Get rid of it! And your Mama's wedding picture.... out it goes. At least until you are in your new home and can safely put out all your relatives again... NO MATTER WHAT … (19 comments)
