Saturday FARMERS MARKET at Northeast Baptist Church on Chamblee Tucker Road - 09/05/11 09:36 AM
Every Saturday through September you can find a FARMERS MARKET at Northeast Baptist Church on Chamblee Tucker Road.  Tim stopped by Saturday and bought some fresh corn for our labor day picnic.  

 
 Tim especially enjoyed the stall with organically grown vegetables.  Heirloom tomatoes, arugula, radishes and more tempted the chef to sir up some new saues and recipes.
The ladies at left were selling organic honey.
Another stall had artisan goat cheeses for sale.
And if you were hungry or thirsty you could feast on fresh baked pastries and bread or some fresh brewed orcanically grown coffee from … (2 comments)

Craigslist Rent Fraud Article in Atlanta Journal and Constitution - 09/01/11 06:21 PM
I hae written several posts about rent fraud and Craigslist.  Unfortunately, I continue to experience the Craigslist Rent Fraud syndrome.  It goes something like this:
Phone rings:
Sally: "Hello, Sally English, Atlanta real estate - How can I help you?"
Caller: "We saw a hose for rent at 1234 Main Street Atlanta on Craiglist and we want to take a look inside."
Sally:"Hmmmmm, I don't usually list rentals.  I am guessing you are looking at a fraudulent rental ad."  
"I do have a house listed for sale at 1234 Main Street but the propery is not for rent."

If you're thinking about a short sale - read on . . . - 09/01/11 07:23 AM
The English Team has been handling (and selling) a lot of short sale listings lately.  This brutal real estate market has put a lot of home owners under water on their home mortgage.  They owe more money to the bank than their home is worth and the only way they can sell, and avoid foreclosure, is have the bank agree to take a payoff that is less than the amount they are owed (ie a "short" sale).
