You can blame it on the economy....some of that may be true...some of the "blame" belongs to conditions that are beyond anyone's control...there are medical conditions, competitive conditions...all kinds of reasons why Commercial Real Estate can be Upside Down. We know that there can be multiple liens, complicated titles, a puzzle that has more pieces than any 10 residential transactions. We were recently referred to sellers who were moving back to their home country in Europe...and the move was more difficult than usual with a brand new baby and two other children under 5 in tow that occupied 99% of Mrs. Seller's time. That left Mr. Seller to deal with the details and execution of getting the family from point A to point B across the water. What to take...what to leave...I would have a difficult time deciding this moving to the next county...let alone another country so my heart went out to this man left (0 comments)
Before we were licensed or owned real estate...I used to think how hard could that be.... You put a sign in the ground that says After all. the sign company really does that...so that can't be hard. You have a secretary you puts the listing in MLS Soooo....Ithought, then you could put a sign on the lawn once in a while on Sunday if there was nothing else to do and see if anyone wanted to come and see the house. We have taken classes, we have worked with buyers, brokers, sellers and agents and there seems to be a good deal of confusion about short sales. The definition of a short sale first of all...OR an upside down home, a deficient mortgage, someone in pre-foreclosure status is when the home owner owes more to one or more lenders than their home is worth...this can also include things like home ower association and condo dues as well as real estate taxes and contractor liens. We came home this evening to a message on our business line from an agent who had shown a small one bedroom condo we have as a short sale. It has some dated cabinetry....could use some fresh paint and the seller is a smoker who knows she is losing her home. "We were in and out of your condo listing on XYZ in 3 minutes...!" the agent began..."The Smell of smoke was just terrible and it needs new counters and fresh paint....oh and the buyer wasn't pre-qualified...(that was written as a requirement in MLS,..duh) Other condos (10 comments)
I am really NOT a "Shop till you Drop" Person....as a full time agent, there is little time to make shopping a career. But....I have been told I have "an eye" for decorating. My husband doesn't exactly understand the concept of when things are on sale, "the more you spend, the more you save." I think it is a guy thing....Every woman I know, understands it perfectly! We try and do different things for our sphere, our clients and customers...current and past....because we truly do appreciate their business. The fact that they are placing one of their most valuable assets in our hands...or allowing us to help them choose one...Is truly an honor. This weekend....We are distributing "eatable fireworks" ! Yesterday we closed on a first time home buyers house..the buyers were excited and had many family members coming to help over the holiday weekend to paint and fix before they moved in a couple weeks from now. The sellers were a couple with two teenagers...and a surprise set of twins just a little over a year old...they too were excited to move from their small 2 bedroom home to a larger house where everyone would at last have some space. My husband attended the closing in Illinois though the home is just over the border in Wisconsin. (2 comments)

Inside and out....soooo much is new...landscaping, siding, shutters, picture window...welcome to the freshly painted living room with brand new carpeting. Step into the full bath with new pedestal sink and neutral paint. On to the kitchen....mmmm....new floor, cabinets, counter tops, sinks, faucets, stove and refrigerator....and you can eat in it besides ! First floor master with new carpet, paint and light fixture. Up the newly carpeted stairs to 2 bedrooms with new paint and carpet...and a convenient half bath...all new from ceramic tile to vanity, light fixture and commode. You gotta love it,.... (1 comments)

This is the new Miller Coors logo that will begin to grace the landscape....on Milwaukee's lakefront and all around the town at bars and and liquor stores everywhere. My father retired from Miller Brewing and during his 30 plus year tenure, the most popular part of the Miller Brewing logo looked like this.
When my Father began working at Millers, the Frederick Miller family owned the brewery. The family treated employees like family and gifted them when children were born, remembered birthdays...sponsored Christmas parties for families and summer picnics, The company grew and was sold several more (0 comments)
