There are varying degrees of expertise in every profession. If you have been practicing real estate for a while...you have met agents, managers, contractors...and inspectors with different levels of experience. Our belief with licensed home inspectors in Wisconsin is that they are not to quote repairs...they are to evaluate the home's condition and caution with further evaluation by a specific professional if necessary. Which does not mean everything from the foundation to the chimney needs further examination...which is the practice of some inspectors. Our MLS provides for room names and sizes with the disclaimer that all sizes are approximate. … (9 comments)
