My feeling is if you use only the MLS system , it only make you as good as the next guy, I think single property sites give you a step up on your competitors, my experience in Halton Hills has been doubling my web traffic with single property sites
Just for example for my listing www.8mowat.com I recived on average 400 hits a week on mls and with the singe property site I received 500 hits ( the property sold in one week). And those numbers are typical for all my listings
So I now find it a necessary tool to sell a property if I can double the exposure it will only work out well for everyone, I also think it's important to use a web company that will change the site according to your demographic and tailor it to your needs ,
Over the last year or so I have been working very Hard to try and develop a effective single property website for all of my new listings. In the past I have used many template sites in the and found that they worked but always found they were missing something
In the last few months I have been working with a local web devloper and together we have came up with something that looks great but is also very effective in giving the featured property massive exposiure. My websites on a typical listing I recive more hits than mls.
