Localism Help Regarding Sponsoring A Community - 07/27/08 09:25 PM
I recently visited Localism and after viewing the site it triggered a couple questions that I hope can be easily answered.
It seems that an agent can sponsor a community. How does sponsoring a community benefit an agent? Is it specifically an exposure and branding benefit or does it go deeper? Pictures of Ohio (or your community). Are we permitted to watermark our photos before uploading? I appreciate you taking your time and if you have any other advice or suggestions I would love to hear them.

All the rave about the new iPhone 3G has got me thinking mini handheld computers. When you think about it the iPhone it truly is a mini computer first and a phone secondly. Sony and Fujitsu both have amazing micro computers and I recently found that HP also have a micro computer now. The road warrior agent can take full advantage of their computer when it is small enough and light enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Realtor.com is always a hot topic among agents. Some agents rave about all the business they get from Realtor.com while others see Realtor.com as the enemy. I personally dislike Realtor.com and how they have treated the Realtor membership. It seems that every change they make to their services is seems to be focused on new ways to increase their revenue with little consideration to the Realtor community. The other side of the coin is that Realtor.com is still generating a tremendous amount of web viewers so for many agents advertising their listings on Realtor.com is a necessary evil.

This year the 4th of July will be filled with fun events at the Memornial Park including a Classic Car Show, a BMX and skate boarding competition, tennis and basketball competitions plus baseball tournements and fireworks at dusk. There will also be live entertainment and food concessions at dusk which should begin just after 10 p.m. Mount Vernon's Heritage Center generally has their popular First Friday event in the downtown area but this year the first Friday of the month falls on a holiday so they are also having their First Friday event at the Memorial Park.
